> 3 dayI have an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) with a useless hybrid drive. After swapping the SSD portion of the Hybrid, and outgrowing it, I finally decided to use the 2TB USB 3.2 External Solid State Drive as the boot drive. WOW, my old iMac performs better than new.

> 3 dayBought it for additional storage on my ps5 and works great. You do have to find a place close but out of the way, so a longer cord or something could be useful

> 3 dayI got the red 1tb model to back up my Plex server and I did it. It coped everything quite quickly over 500gb of movies and tv shows copyed in near minutes Now I know when or if I need it. I can get my Plex server up and running again in no time. Filled it up to abot 60% of cupidity in near minutes. It was going around 600 mb/s cuz I have 3.1 gen 2 on my computer. It slowed down to around 400 mb/s after a while but I assume it’s cuz cache ran out.

> 3 dayThe SSD overheats easily with any extended amount of use. While synchronizing 1TB of Google files it overheated and I had to put a fan on it to keep it cool. It frequently disconnected and re-connected and caused many file corruption errors, prompting Windows to ask me to check the drive for errors and run a checkdisk.

> 3 dayI had contacted Samsung SSD support about a failed drive. They had me return it to them for service. They said it couldnt be repaired and would issue me a refund. I have been trying to get this refund since July 2022. The drive was purchased on Sept. 8th, 2020. It failed with some goo leaking from the label end of drive. Most likely a failed tantalum capacitor. This caused the drive to disconnect after trying to tranfer a file. I have spent many hours patiently on the phone: listening to music while on hold for extended periods of time(months). I believe their goal was to have me hangup. I didnt do that for months. Im done with Samsung.
