Light, same size as original HD, easy install.

Seems good so far; plug it in and Windows 10 recognizes it with no problem. The Samsung data transfer/cloning software (available for free on their website) worked perfectly as well. If any problems arise, Ill report back.

Easy enough to install in my desktop computer but does need a mounting adapter to make it mount like a standard size hdd. I did a fresh w10 install so I didn’t try any cloning software. One tip is to buy a SSD with more storage size than you need. SSD’s can wear out and having extra memory to move tbe data around gives it a longer life. So far very happy with the fast bootup and access time over my older spinning hdd.

Worked flawlessly. I only buy Samsung SSDs even when they cost slightly more, because only Samsung include disk cloning software that works reliably, and because Samsungs QA (quality assurance / testing) ensures that you never get a dud. The 860 is supposed to be very slightly faster than the 850 it supersedes, but with improved long-term reliability.

Installed in PS4, more space, D2 actually loaded faster which resulted in a few things. I loaded into strikes about a minute before anyone else, sometimes cause no enemy’s to appear, stuck in a black screen while waiting for others to load into the instance, move from game to PS4 menu and back without the lag it had before. Other games load faster.

My second purchase and Im using this as an external storage drive with my ineo USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type C Aluminum External Hard Drive Enclosure. Works great and good customer support from Samsung.

THE FACT THAT IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO FIGURE IT OUT. IT NEEDS TO BE MADE MORE HOW TO GO ABOUT HOW TO FIND ONES WAY ON THE KNOW HOW? SIMPLY MAKE IT SUAVE TO INSTALL WITH MORE DETAIL. I HAD TO FIGURE IT OUT. NOT EVERYONE IS TECH SAVEY. OTHER THAN THAT IT TURNED OUT VERY WELL. THE PC TURNS OFF QUICKY AND THE UPDATES ARE DONE CORRECTLY. I JUST HAPPEN TO CATCH THE SSD ON SALE. MY HARD DRIVE WAS ON ITS WAY OUT. THIS TURNED TO BE A GREAT INVESTMENT. AND TO THOSE WHO NEED MEMORY, ORDER SOME MORE. IT PAYS OFF. THE SPEED ENHANCES.

I fixed up my fathers computer last weekend as his current system was having issues, and after Id done some work it was fairly clear that his slow HDD was the culprit. Unfortunately the one I got from Amazon was DOA and wouldnt connect through the 2.5 to USB cord I had nor the one I got from Best Buy (for $30...shudder), but I got another version of the same hard drive from a place which shall go nameless. Once I hooked the new drive up it connected right away to the Samsung software, I cloned the drive, installed it, and my Dad was back in business.

Bought 3 of these... all working great, no complaints.. install was as simple as plugging it in.. all bioss recognized it.. no problem
