Greater than one weekI bought Samsung 860evo 500 gb because they were supposed to have the most trouble free cloning/migration. But that was a real bust. After downloading there free migration/cloning it seemed simple enough. The problem is that it wouldnt get past 99% and then just stop. After trying 4 times (I figured these are glitchy sometimes) I used AOMEI BACKUPPER which is also free, no problem. Hope this helps someone. I am a novice at all this.

> 3 dayOkay, prehistoric man would have trouble with this, but it was very easy to install and moving my OS and files from my old ssd to this one was simple. The website to Samsungs Magician, and the migrating software made moving everything fast and easy. Id put it off for a while expecting it to be a chore but it couldnt have been easier. Afterward I ran a new benchmark test to compare with last years results, and the new Samsung was more than twice as fast as the original Sandisk SSD. I couldnt leave any stars for the tech support category as I had no need to bother them with this easy install.

Si bien es cierto, no lo aprovecho al 100% bastará comprar una laptop nueva e instalarlo allí. Aún así, considero que era la opción más recomendada para mi.

23-09-2024I upgraded the hard drive in my laptop from 500GB to 1,000GB SSD. I used Macrium software to make a clone of my 500GB drive onto the new one. Then I took out the old one, installed the new one, turned it on and it worked! Now theres just a lot more empty space.
