I watched (several times) every youtube video I could find, read some google articles, took a deep breath and actually did it! Used the free Carbon Copy software to duplicate my old hard drive, and everything went smoothly. What a difference it makes with booting up or loading/looking thru pictures. Its like having a new computer! Definitely worth the cost & effort. Of course not much difference in browsing the internet since that depends on your router & internet provider. However any time you access something in your hard drive, its lightning fast! Very happy with purchase.

> 3 dayI purchased this to replace a drive in a PS4. (this was 2 MB smaller than the original drive) which prevented a clone of the drive using the software i had available. That said if you install the drive then load from the files on PS website it works fine, you just need to re-download all of your games.

> 3 dayPut this in an HP 15-p043cl laptop. The machines old HDD was running slow and hot (95+ degrees) all the time, was ready to get a new laptop. Watched one of Carey Holzmans videos on how to really breath new life into a laptop, and I did what he suggested; get an SSD and more RAM and it is like a brand new machine. The avg operating temp now is 82 degrees or lower, the fan barely comes on, and runs super quiet and get this; its startup time was 1 min 15 seconds, now 10 seconds or less. If you have a laptop you like, but its older and sluggish, please seek out the youtuber i mentioned above, watch laptop vid, follow the instructions and you will damn near have a better than new machine.
