Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

I dont game, so thats the reason for my gaming review. Otherwise - swaps in easy, great replacement for my old (ancient) drive. Helps me squeeze out more years of use for my old laptop! Great product!

Purchased for a Lenovo laptop running Win10 to reduce startup times. Great product - I wish the laptop had M.2 capability as 860 EVO operates through SATA port which keeps speed down. Magician software (downloaded from Samsung website) keeps TRIM operational in background. Still have not figured out how to use OPAL encryption - as this requires extra software which is not identified by Samsung or able to be identified in a Google search. Used Macrium software (free download) to clone the internal drive and USB adaptor to copy internal to SSD prior to swap. Samsung clone software did not identify all partitions, but Macrium copied all of the Lenovo partitions on the original drive.

Easy to install and worked like a charm.

This SSD is by far the fastest SSD I have owned. I used this one to replace the HDD that went out in my ASUS Q502L laptop. The bootup time was probably about 3x faster than the HDD. I was shocked on just how much faster this SSD is. Since Windows was tied to the motherboard all I had to do was use a USB drive to download windows on here and boom, done. Though I did lose all my data on my HDD. Luckily there wasnt anything important on it. Good thing it went out at the beginning of this school semester and not in the middle.

Works great, put in a customers computer to help speed it up. Not as fast as the M2s but works great!

I am very happy with the drive itself however the tool Samsung provides to transfer the data from the old drive to the new drive only transfers the C: drive NOT THE OEM RESTORE PARTITION! I contacted the company that made the software and their reply was...

I purchased this drive to replace the mechanical hard drive in my older HP Envy laptop. The drive installed in the chassis without any issue. Working in I.T. Ive seen drives not line up quite right with the connectors, especially in laptops, but this one matched up perfectly. The laptop recognized the new drive immediately without any troubles, and Windows reinstalled without any issues.

The product is extremely easy to install into a computer (I installed into a thinkpad laptop and followed a simple manual on opening the case and removing the Hard Disk Drive) and was easy to copy data over with a SATA cable. SSD worked right away and has improved my system speed significantly. Highly recommended.

I use it for my operating system and storage. I can surely say my computer is running much faster than my previous mechanical drive. So far I havent experienced any problem or any data loss with the drive after using it for several months now so Im pretty satisfied with it.
