> 3 dayIve been using this in my Linux X220, and Ive had no issues with it yet. Seems to handle anything I throw at it, and it boots super fast (around 10 seconds) compared to my old WD disk I was using.

> 3 dayInstalled in an older dell inspiron 560 with the 18D1Y motherboard (using a 3.06ghz cpu) and it was significantly faster. At first the machine didnt recognize the ssd but after a little bit of research I was able to get it working. The Samsung data migration software made cloning my much older mechanical hdd very easy. From the time the power button was pushed I was literally waiting around 5 minutes for everything to load before the computer was usable, now its roughly 45 seconds. If youre looking to breath life into a older computer or just simply need one for a new build you definitely cant go wrong with this ssd

Greater than one weekA real step up from my very tired 8 year old SATA drive. Wow - my system now boots in under 30 seconds. The Magician software (download from the Samsung site) transferred everything off my old drive without error as well so the move to this solid state drive was painless. Things you will need if you are replacing your old drive with this: 1) a power/data to USB specialty cable that allows you to connect this drive to a USB port on your current computer to transfer all the data. You will use this once. 2) Get a data cable to connect this drive to your mother board if you are making this a second drive. Your computer likely has extra power connections so you dont need that and 3) Look inside your computer and see if this will mount directly. Laptops probably will. Desktops probably not. In this case, get a mounting bracket. My desktop computer is old so only had bays set up for standard SATA drives so I got the suggested Corsair SSD mounting bracket. Of note for the guys who make the bracket - you need to move the drive over a little on the bracket or provide two shorter screws in the kit. I had to clip 1/8 inch off the tip of two of the supplied screws that go in from the side so they wouldnt hit the drive. .

> 3 dayHigh praise for Samsung’s “brain transfer” software. Literally could not be simpler. Be sure to order a usb to sata connector if you don’t have one.

> 3 dayI bought two of these to upgrade the laptops of my son and daughter. They have a lot of data and different apps. The Samsung Data migration tool made it very fast and easy to clone the existing HDDs. Once installed the new SSDs are extremely fast and the laptops take no time to boot and you can experience the performance boost.
