The first 1TB drive I received would vary in performance from 2.5GB/s to 1-2MB/s during testing with the occasional crash of the controller requiring power cycle. This was using Ubuntu 20.04 on a Purism Librem 13v3. I returned it and got a replacement assuming that the drive might be bad. Second one had the same result.

This 1 TB drive was purchased and easily installed in a 2021 HP OMEN 15.6 Gaming Laptop. It works fine and the extra added storage is a much needed upgrade for a Laptop that only came with 512 GB. It does not come with any sort of mounting hardware, so you will have to reuse screws and brackets from pre existing drives. It seems to run fast without running with day to day usage and gaming,no real complaints and Ive had no thermal issues to date. A solid drive with reasonably fast speeds and the Samsung name to go along with it.

Samsung is known for offering top quality storage at top prices. I was excited to try this 980 model, since it is being offered at a much more reasonable price point. The packaging for this solid state drive was very good and the drive should be delivered safely with no damage. The drive was plugged in and immediately recognized as a 1TB drive. The speed is very quick, though I do not have my operating system on this particular M.2 drive yet. I plan to migrate my operating system from my old M.2 because this drive is supposed to be much faster. Looking at the drive you can see all of the extra pins that plug into the motherboard, so it is obviously capable of much higher speeds. So far from basic transfers back and forth I am happy with this drive. Samsung is known for very good long lasting drives, so this should outlive my other SSD.

Me encanta porque no se calienta tanto, mantiene las velocidades de escritura (cosa que normalmente no hacen la mayoría de los SSD), funciona perfectamente en Motherboard Asus TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS (WI-FI) con los dos Sistemas Operativos que le tengo instalados MacOS Monterey y Windows 10 Pro.

The only negative isnt this RAM at all but that my laptop wont let me boot from it but for my linux swap file and additional storage its super fast like a turbo boost for my laptop. No more waiting for things to open so I can get more done at my speed

Not much to review, if your pci slot is gen 3 this is probably the fastest m.2 for the gen you can get, and 1TB is plenty of storage.
