Ive bought this drive (without heatsink) 3rd time already. The first one was for my PC, installed easily and moved operating systems (I had to recover Ubuntu though, as disk ID was changed. Windows moved without issue).

I couldnt have asked for a better experience in adding size to my PS5. It was easy as pie to make the addition. Easy instructions online. And thank you for the good pricing.

I bought this unit brand new through Amazon in late July and the unit is completely dead and undetectable on my system. At first I thought that the primary PCI 4.0 M.2 NVME slot on my motherboard was failing so I put it in the secondary PCI 3.0 slot but when that also did not work I put it into another brand new computer I had assembled for a friend and still the drive was not detected in the BIOS Boot Manager. To be clear, the drive worked perfectly fine before this and was lightly used as a gaming PC. I only had a few programs and games downloaded on the drive. I couldn’t imagine more than 10TBW was put on the drive. For posterity, the manufacture date for this Unit is May of 2022 and was made in Vietnam.

CLONING CAN BE A HICCUP: If you have a computer (typically a laptop) with an NVMe SSD in it already, and you have no other NVMe sockets (no unused sockets), you will need to use an external device to mount this new NVMe SDD. Thats to directly copy the existing operating system and other content from the existing NVMe SSD to the new one, using the Samsung clone utility.

Best chips in the business are manufactured in Korea, that pretty much covers it. Even shipped with the right firmware so I didnt have to update it.

If you need a data transfer boost and your mainboard supports M.2 drives, this will speed things up for you.

Its a 1tb SSD. Not much else to say. I knew it was going to be great and not have any problems. Thats why I bought it.
