> 3 dayThis drive is a real diamond. For the price it just can’t be beat. Replaced the factory nVME drive in my Dell laptop with this bad boy and wow. Night and day difference both in benchmarks and real world performance, I can feel the speed difference.

> 3 dayI would have given it 5 stars if I wouldnt have had to get on my motorcycle and hunt all over gods creation to find this stoopid screw. I expect this little 20 cent screw to be in a $170 purchase.

> 3 dayI have an old HP Spectre and wanted to upgrade the factory provided 500GB M.2 SSD to a larger storage SSD. I purchased this 970 EVO 1TB SSD after hearing so much about it from YouTubers and purchased the TDBT M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure with Heat Sink to use as an adapter when I migrate over my OS. Maybe because my old 500GB SSD was a Samsung SSD but the transfer was as smooth as I could have hoped for. I took the new 970 EVO that I purchased and plugged it into the adapter. Downloaded the Samsung Data Migration (not magician) software as well as the 970 EVO drivers from the Samsung website and started the transfer after consulting a couple of YouTube videos. Took about 30mins to transfer 450+GB of data to the the new 970 EVO and then the Data Migration software shut off my computer. Maybe I was in too much of a rush and should have just left it for a while but I turned on the computer and got multiple blue screens until my laptop failed to boot. I quickly unplugged the adapter and went to the motherboard startup menu and restarted the computer using that route. I also thought I would need to factory reset my entire computer, so thank goodness all my files are in the cloud storage. Breathed a sign of relief when my computer booted up. Shut the computer down, swapped out the old SSD with the new EVO since the Data Migration software did say the transfer completed successfully and held my breath as I started my computer up again. Success! It looks like it worked. I now have lots more space in my C: Drive. Heres hoping it stays that way and my inexperience didnt mess anything up too badly. The reason I went into so much depth was to provide guidance to people who are in the same boat as I was, trying to upgrade an old smaller SSD without the faintest idea of whether I was doing it correctly the whole way through. Anyway Im so grateful it looks like it worked and Im very happy with the 970 EVO.

> 3 dayWow. This M.2 drive is 4x faster than my Samsung SATA SSD drive. Insanely fast. Its not that easy to install an M.2 due to the tiny little screw you have to use to bolt it to the motherboard but thats the M.2 design, not Samsungs fault. Ive tried 2 other SSD brands but both have failed after a while. I have a Samsung SSD in my office PC and now I have 3 in my home PC (one M.2 and two SATA) and Im now a loyal Samsung customer. Their Samsung Magician tool is helpful, too, for things like firmware updates and over-provisioning your drives to prolong their life.
