This SSD lives up to its reputation! I installed it on my new Alienware Area 51M laptop and have been using it for months for gaming and just about everything else. It has really fast speeds and high storage capacity as the specs show. The reason I chose this initially was because I had heard that it was easy to install. This was definitely true and extremely important. I wanted it to be the only drive on my computer so I had to clone the hard disk that came with the computer onto this ssd. Samsung has a GREAT free software to help you clone drives. I just popped it into my SSD slot and screwed it down then opened the software. It immediately recognized both the hard disk and the SSD and all I had to do was click clone. It was done within 30 minutes and I just removed the hard drive and voila! I had a brand new cloned SSD. I have yet to use even half of the storage capacity and I have plenty of games as well as engineering software for school, but this depends on what you want to do with it. Definitely the best SSD out there right now.

I upgraded my Crucial CT500 Sata SSD to this 970 EVO Plus M2 wishing to increase read/write dramatically. The result turned out not as expected. My motherboard is Asus Z97-A. My sequential reading rate only reached 830MB/s, much slower than advertised 3200MB/s. It didnt double the speed of my 5-year old Crucial CT500 Sata SSD. Disappointed. If you upgrade to this m2 SSD simply for the speed purpose, I would not recommend it. Stay with your Sata SSD.

Top product, very easy to install only thing I have as complaint about is that it should come with little screw and screwdriver to hold it down

Youll need to buy a screw to mount it. I just got a full kit that has like 100 of each and a screwdriver for around $10. Make sure your MB has a slot but you wouldnt be buying this if you didnt know. Easy to find slip in and setup. Samsung makes drives super easy with their software.

Wow! Just updated my Lenovo from HDD to this new SSD I am blown away on how fast this card is. My system stays cool even running Second Life. Total fan for life. Installation a breeze , clueless on computers , I watched the vids then bought the SSD . Ill never use all the memory .

The description lies! This IS NOT compatible with the PS5.

Had to update my ASUS G752VL bios since I bought it in 2015 from bestbuy.

Failed to be recognized in m.2 slot on motherboard. Tried to upgrade from an Evo 950 m.2 which was working just fine. Put the 970 m.2 into an SDD converter and plugged it into the USB and it could still not be read by the computer even using the Samsung driver.

It is easy to install into the motherboard itself and it is easy to check to see it is functioning. Good investment to add some increased performance to your computer.
