> 3 dayI upgraded a Lenova AMD Ryzen 5 Flex laptop with this 1TB Samsung M2 drive and saw speeds using Crystal Disk of 3550.50 Read and 3493.58 Write, even better than advertised. I used Macrium Reflect to clone the original drive to the new drive and a quick laptop became slightly faster.

> 3 daySuper easy to install, the speed is mindblowing, laptop turns on and is ready to use in mere seconds! The price was also really good for the capacity

> 3 dayComputer detect SSD memory not functioning; the SSD dies in just about a year. I have to buy $$ data retrieval software and spent few days to retrieve my important data back. I want to format the SSD before sending back to Samsung semiconductor for fixing, however, the SSD is die in the state that cant be read from computer or SSD enclosure; unless I have to spend another $$ to buy another software to wipe out the data before I send back for fixing. Very disappointed with this SSD. I am not border to send back the SSD for fixing; with my personal data be potentially be breached.

> 3 dayWhen transferring 800+ gigs of media from a primary Crucial P5 Plus (Gen 4) drive to the 970 EVO Plus... Achieved 3.6-3.7 gig sustained rate... Discovered that - unless you are allot of heavy media lifting - 970 is all you will ever need... This drive is a Gen 3 animal! So impressed!

> 3 dayI made no compromises with this purchase. The 970 Pro was incredibly fast, but it was too expensive and I needed more space for my main drive, so I went with the second best option, the EVO. Ive heard a lot of good things about the EVO series M.2s, and they all meet expectations! Load times, download and transfer speeds are incredible, and I can put a couple of my favorite games on the drive for very fast loading speeds! I absolutely love M.2s, and have only ever owned Samsungs. I cant find myself switching any time soon as they are consistent and reliable!

> 3 dayAs is obvious from the first pic, Im not getting anywhere near the advertised speeds. But thats due to an ancient (in computer years) 2016 laptop. Lucky for me. As that might actually improve its longevity. If I were to actually install it in said laptop. But with a high temp of ~131.7*F on the section of flash memory closest to the controller (showing highest temp) after just 3 successive CrystalDiskMark 6.0.2 x64 tests with the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB SSD installed in an Inateck FE2025 external drive enclosure without the cover on it, thats definitely not going to happen. While the controller high temp is lower than the last SSD I tested and is in line with another Samsung SSD I also tested, the flash memory temps are just way too high for any sort of longevity considering the suggested maximum temp for flash memory is 70*C/158*F & which Im sure this SSD will exceed if its actually installed in my laptop.

> 3 dayGood M.2 ssd, but it is better if you use it for gaming as installing windows 10 on it will be slightly difficult.
