Upgrade from mechanical hard drive

This is easy to install, but sadly mine did not work straight out of the box.

Ive installed a half dozen or more of these Samsung 870 SSD drives in either the 500 GB or 1 TB size. SSD drives really put the pep back into your computer. When you load an application it comes off your drive, not memory. When you open a document or file, it comes off your drive. Sometimes you run out of memory for loading your operating system. When that happens your computer uses the hard drive. SSD drives are so much faster.

I have two 2tb QVOs in RAID0 Im using for my games. This type of SSD doesnt have the longest life span so not using for backup or tons of data exchange, only for games. 4tb in raid0 holds almost my entire library that I dont have on my m.2 drives and may even be just as fast thanks to raid.

I am a Samsung SSD fan and have been using them for many years. I bought this one for my lenovo ideapad 3i for extra storage and it works great. I really like the samsung magician software that monitors the health, temperature and speed of both SSDs on my laptop. Good job Samsung. Highly recommended.

This is a great improvement over the old drive, load times are incredible and the 4TB memory is perfect, the drive I recieved has 3.8 TB. So almost 4TB. I highly recommend this to anyone upgrading their PS4.
