Even on the mess in cable management that i have it was an easy installment and formatting

If you’re currently still using an HDD, you owe it to yourself get one of these. The jump in performance is substantial.

Opted for the newer M.2 technology and returned this item.

Installation was a bit confusing at first because the directions is not clear as day but it was easy to figure out for the most part. You will need 2 softwares. One for data transfer and the other for optimization. Once I installed this , the boot up was super fast. Normally I’ll be waiting a couple mins but this took less then 15 secs to boot up. All my start up programs are already up on the screen as I log on. It use to take forever for that stuff to boot and made everything else run slow. I am a music producer so this is extremely helpful when it comes to fast boot ups and things loading quickly . Best investment I ever made and haven’t upgraded my ram yet. If I were you, I’ll this first before ram and you’ll notice a difference in performance.

3 year old laptop with 1TB hdd running at 100% and slooow needed an update. Not so easy to open laptop, but installation was simple after that. Used Samsung Data Migration and allowed me to clone 1TB drive (30% used) to 500Gb easily. Took about 5 hours. Boot up time is seconds and not minutes. Performance data shows 5x the speed and now running at 10-20% max

No volume detected. Yet another amazon special hard drive case with no volume inside.
