it is a hard drive... it worked and is still working now... yeah.

Instant superb performance experienced after installation. Brought my desktop back to life. I have abandoned it for several months due to being slow at startup and applications loading for years when clicked on.

Noticed that windows is throwing 0x00000017 - Data error (cyclic redundancy check). when Im trying to access some of my files. Turned out that the SSD has a lot of bad sectors after just 1 year of light use.

Tried to install this in my PC and windows didnt recognize it. Did a format of the drive and it appeared too work until I started cloning my old hard drive to it, it keeps loosing connection. I have tried many other power cords and cables with no luck, other drives work fine in this PC. Amazon return window is closed. Went to Samsung support and entered model number to find that this drive is not intended for sale in the United States so there is no support from them. Thanks Amazon for yet another disappointment on a purchase from you! Time to buy from other sources.....

I own around five pieces of this same exact product for several years now. Still working well without any problems! Comes with real-time diagnostics software that you can download and install. Highly recommended!
