I do custom long arm quilting and frequently use this batting as it accentuates the detailed stitching so well. Very easy to handle, keeps its shape well and has a very good drape.

I have had a bad experience with this batting. I made a quilt top with good fabric and decided to try Quilters Dream wool batting in it. As soon as I began machine quilting, the batting bearded very badly. By the time I had finished the quilting, the quilt was covered with bearding. The instructions say that QD wool is machine washable and dryable, but I was concerned about washing it. When I took it out of the washer, there were quarter size pieces of batting all over the quilt and in the machine. I thought maybe the dryer would take care of this, but it pulled more batting out leaving pea sized balls of batting on the quilt and a fine web of batting over the whole quilt. After I have removed all this from the quilt, it will be only lightly used in the future and never washed!

I love this wool batting. It is very soft and feels great. It quilts like butter and maintains a beautiful loft. I do machine wash and dry (very low heat) for a puckered look! Love it!

Wanted to try something besides W&N batting. I love this! Not heavy, warm but you dont sweat. Have had zero issues with laundering. It did smell a bit the first time I washed it, but not subsequent washes. Really easy to quilt, didnt break any needles on my longarm. Would definitely use it again.

This is out being stitched into a quilt for my mom. She wanted a little more loft and this will do it. I have not seen the finished quilt yet but my long arm gal says she loves quilting with wool batting.
