I am a rookie with projectors. After researching for a very long time and getting a lot of feedback from friends that have projectors of their own, I decided to go with this one and IT IS AWESOME!!! It has far exceeded my expectations.

Dont buy Optoma Products. Bad components. Main board went out every 9 months with very little use of the product. First time covered by warranty but then costs as much as projector after first time.

For the price it is the best one, 4k HDR input . It does take a lot of calibration to have best picture. Only annoying thing . Is auto color mode does not work. When in HDR you need to manually change colors space to 16-235. 0-255 is for non HDR content . Nice throw for smaller rooms . Around 9 feet for 120” screen

It was a great projector for the 37 days it lasted. The bulb blew out in the middle of a game. It’s rated for 10,000 hrs I think. We haven’t even had it for anywhere near that long. Contacted Amazon support and they won’t do anything because it’s 7 days outside the return window. $800 for 37 days of use, and now we have to deal with the hassle of a manufacturer warranty claim. My advice to all of you, pick another brand that is more durable, and buy from a local shop that will stand behind their products with good service. Wish we had done that.

Works great. Its a good upgrade from my old projector that finally gave out after 3 years of constant use. I have 2 roommates and we all constantly watch shows and movies. My last optima did great, and this one is brighter and better. Def recommend as long as standard HD is all you need not true 4k etc. This projector works great for all my personal visual needs/expectations.

I purchased from another company, the laser version optoma hz39hdr. The good, its very bright and very quiet. The bad its so bright it hurts your eyes and has convergence issues like crazy. It was sharp in the middle and then Fuzzy on the outside. Colors are horrible. Spent days trying to make adjustments. If you are a gamer optoma does make some nice units and would recommend the bulb version of these units for that use. Just know you will go thru a bulb every 1-3 years. I personally found I watched more movies and went with the Epson 3800. Not as good for games but color and contrast are incredible for movies. In short every brand will have its pro and cons just look at what you will use it for and do your research.

Experience incredible HDR technology on a massive screen with the 1080p, 4,000 lumens Optoma HD39HDRx home entertainment projector. Gamers can take advantage of the Enhanced Gaming Mode, combined with a 120Hz refresh rate for lightning-fast, 8.4ms response times for lag-free gaming. The 1.3x zoom and keystone correction deliver flexible installation options. Powerful 10-watt audio fills a room with loud and crisp audio to further enhance media and presentations. A 15,000-hour lamp life enables many years of use with minimal maintenance.
