Ive been toying with picking up one os those aluminum MacBook dock/holders for years to use at home... but they typically sell for $50 or so and are not adjustable. This means that every other year when I upgrade I have to buy a new stand, never mind the difficulty finding one that will accept a MacBook w/ any kind of case on it. These stands are solid aluminum and nicely weighted to prevent tipping. I have my 2018 MacBook Air and my wifes 2015 MacBook Pro each in their own stand and they work great! The adjustments are quick and easy using the included Allen wrench also.

Didnt like this one. Sent it straight back. The box was soggy (and smelt) which can happen, but the product has rough/sharp edges which arent covered by the rubber linings, so Im certain I would scratch my MacBook.

If you are after a vertical stand, this is your stop.

This stand surprised me on just how heavy and well crafted it was! Holds my MBP 13 perfectly in place.

When other reviewers say this is heavy, they mean it. Its not just heavy aluminum, its heavy(!) aluminum. I have zero issues trusting it with my MacBookPro. The matte finish feels good too.

This stand is well constructed and very sturdy. Absolutely a great buy!

This might be my favorite piece of equipment in my studio. It keeps my MacBook Pro secure and out of the way. If you use your computer in clamshell mode, this is a must. It’s durable, heavy, and well made. Not only does it serve a great purpose, it looks better than others that cost triple the price.
