They have the OLFA name, are sharp and are brand new. Before ordering I had read reviews that commented on the blades being used, and not reflecting the OLFA name. I did not have any of those issues. The only issue I had was that Amazon didnt pack them well so they fell out of their container .

Love OLFA blades! Packaged individually in containers, making it easy to dispose of old blades.

Gave as gift with OLFA Rotary Cutter. OLFA is a company providing quality sewing and quilting tools. I use and gift their products - just nothing better!

Unlike most others I actually bought these blades for cutting paper and they have worked flawlessly for this purpose. The cuts need to be precise and consistent (trimming book text block edges) and so far Ive been very happy with the results. Only trimmed a couple blocks so far so jury is still out on durability. Also a couple stats as I couldnt find these in the description: 1) The metal disk is 0.3 mm thick. 2) The blade has a bevel on both sides and it appears to be around 7 degrees (hard to measure effectively).

Ive tried other brands blades but always come back to Olfa! They stay the sharpest longest, they cut through many layers of fabric at a time. (Ive cut 6!) which significantly cuts down on time when you are cutting itty bitty pieces for a quilt! Ive also cut paper with these blades so nice! Just make sure you close the safety on it as they are super sharp. Ill admit to a trip to the emergency room and some stitches when I neglected the safety on this... Also for the amazon.com price you cant beat even with a great sale at your local fabric/quilt/craft store!!!

These blades have been great! I used one blade to cut a regular quilt plus two baby quilts and it is still cutting. The price is so great. I will continue to buy blade here!!! (I know that quilt shops have to stay in business but what they charge for blades is a crime and an insult to their customers!!)

Stick with Olfa. I bought some cheap blades, and I got what I paid for. Olfa quality control results in a better product

EDIT 2/5/17: With 3 of the 5 blades in the pack unused, I finally gave up. During a recent visit to my local quilt shop, I purchased a pack of ten Olfa blades (not cheap at $59.95, but much better than throwing my money away on these worthless blades). As soon as I put one of the NEW blades on and cut some pinwheel squares I was trimming, I could tell the difference. The blades I purchased locally cut like a hot knife through butter. With these blades that I had purchased here on Amazon, I would have had to SAW through the seamed sections to get them trimmed. There is NO comparison. These are NOT Olfa blades. Or, at least, they are not the same Olfa blades that I get locally. There is something wrong with them - either they are use and re-sharpened (as others have implied) or they are a knock off of the real deal. Save yourself the money and the headache. I learned the hard way. Never again!! ----- ORIGINAL REVIEW: These may look just like Olfa blades (even though the entire package is printed in Japanese), and for the first few days that you use them they perform like Olfa blades, but thats where the similarity ends. Olfa blades that I purchase locally will last me a LONG time. They cut through multiple layers of fabric - often heavy fabric, too. Im on my second blade of this pack, and both of them are the same: they work for about a week, but then theyre dull, even having difficulty cutting through a single layer of Kona Cotton fabric. Annoying! Ive replaced a blade every 4 or 5 weeks. Unacceptable! Blades should last a whole lot longer than that. My locally purchased Olfa blade lasted nearly a year! I would not purchase these again, because clearly I was penny-wise and pound-foolish when purchasing these blades. Theyre not worth it. Pay the money and buy the real ones, unless you like re-cutting your fabric over and over and over . . .

Im a quilter and I ordered two 5-packs of these 45-mm blades and Im very happy with them. This was basically half price what blades normally cost and while mine stay sharp for awhile, I like to keep replacement blades on hand. These are in sealed 5-pack containers, just the same as they are sold at JoAnns or Hancock Fabrics. I usually only use my rotary cutters for cotton quilting fabrics so they last a long time. If you are cutting paper, leather or otherwise hard or thick materials, they will work fine, they just wont last as long as when used only for cutting thin cotton fabric.
