Noctua NH-U12S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-F12 120mm Fan (Brown)

Easy to install, quiet and effective. I also know Noctua will supply mounting kits for future CPU designs (as long as the base plate is still compatible). Hopefully this cooler will last for many years.

Just brilliant. Its sheer bulk is quite surprising, but it fitted onto my (ASUS Z87 Pro) mobo and into my (HAF 912+) case with no issues. Yes you can hear the fan at full speed, but if this fan is frequently running at full speed you have other issues that need looking at. Incredibly, the fan hangs around the 200-230rpm when idle and the CPU (i7 4790) temp stays around 24 degrees. Under load, the fan will shift up to 300-500rpm and still remain utterly silent. Loaded CPU temp hits a 37 degree ceiling and has not yet gone above it.

This is an excellent CPU cooler. It is extremely quiet and does an excellent job. I have had 2 NH-D14s and needed another cooler, just not one quite as capable as the D14. I chose this one and have not been disappointed.. It will do the job and do it quietly too. I have the fan running at 100% and it cannot be heard. Even when I was bench testing the new computer I built, it was in the open about 2 feet from where I sit and it was silent.

Ho assemblato da poco, e da zero, un pc per mio figlio. Cambiato subito il dissipatore stock del Ryzen 5 3600 con questo Noctua. In gioco la temperatura è scesa da oltre 80° a circa 60!!! Rumorosità abbattuta in modo incredibile, la ventola gestita automaticamente in Pwm gira molto basso (6/800rpm) ed è praticamente muta! Ho tolto la marrone e sostituita, sempre con lo stesso modello ma nera, ed aggiunto la cover Cromax. Nel case Corsair iCUE 220T RGB zero problemi di spazio. Non sono un esperto, ma da quanto letto pare sia molto più affidabile un ottimo dissipatore ad aria di diversi AIO che servono solo a far scena.

la vitesse est modulée automatiquement par la carte mère, de ce fait il tourne à faible vitesse, et est encore plus silencieux. branchez les fils au même endroit que le ventilateur précédant. attention: il faut souvent démonter la carte mère pour fixer le système de fixation à 4 pointes(plaque arrière) à larrière de cette carte. on peut quelquefois la démonter juste pour laisser passer la plaque arrière, en lécartant légèrement, sans débrancher tout les cables. attention aux dimension de votre boitier dordinateur: ne convient quaux boitiers dau moins 20 à 21 cm de large.( le mien fait 21 cm, et le ventilateur NH-U-12S rentre juste.

I purchased this directly from Amazon (no 3rd party seller) and the package came in a plastic amazon bag which didnt keep the box safe at all from damages. Its pretty clear that the package was thrown around during shipping and caused the edges of the box to be bent in but no evident damages on the cooler itself, so no starts deducted. Just wouldve preferred a clean box to place on my shelf along with the other boxes of PC components I showcase in my room. The cooler itself performs significantly better than my last one, which was the stock cooler (Wraith Spire) that came with my Ryzen 5 3600x. It runs a lot quieter while providing better temps. Performing a CPU test before and after on 3D mark my CPU received lower temps with less noise coming from the new Noctua NHU12s. It also received a slightly higher score since I guess it was able to push itself further with lower temps.

It works as advertised. The obvious good quality and attention to packaging may not justify the additional cost for everyone, but they do for me. Id be tempted to try the Cryorig H7 next time though to save money.
