Noctua NH-D15 chromax.Black, Dual-Tower CPU Cooler (140mm, Black)

Absolutely a 5 star product. Replaced my H115i with this behemoth, and the results only speak for themselves. i7-9700K would idle around 34-36C with the H115i with max pump speed. With this black beast it idles around 26-30C. Cinebench R15 with the H115i with both fans and pump set to max would see highest temperature of 92C. This NH-D15 barely breaks a sweat topping at 56C.

Works with Ryzen 3950x using just a single fan. Looks much better too, compared to classic Noctua stuff. However, PBO will bring temperatures rather high, around 85C in Cinebench (4.1 GHz all-core). With PBO disabled, it will stay around 72C at Cinebench. Idles at around 36C (room temperature 24C).

This cooler is amazing. Thankfully my case allowed for me to even install without removing the motherboard. Super easy to install, quality product that i can barely even hear if even at all. I bought because my stock intel fan was garbage, playing games that arent even graphically demanding caused it to heat up to 90-100 celsius. As soon as i installed this and loaded up a graphic and process intensive game i checked the temp. 43c. After a few matches my cpu sits at 50c or just under, cutting the temp literally IN HALF. 100% recommend, it even comes with thermal paste(which i didnt use because i have a high end corsair thermal paste i use.) If youre on the fence about a cooler like i was, go with this one. Only downside is it is massive. Thankfully my case is just big enough for all panels to fit back on. It also completely covers my 3rd and 4th ram slot so youd have to adjust the fan height if you have 4 ram sticks. I have 2 with an atx aorus z90 ultra and the fan rests perfectly just past the 2nd ram stick so i didnt have to adjust anything. Also if you have massive ram sticks youll definitely have to adjust the fan height.

Ich habe vorher immer eine AIO Wasserkühlung benutzt wegen des aussehens und da ich dachte dass die besser sind. Nachdem ich einen Ryzen 9 5900x hatte konnten 2 AIOs ihn nicht richtig kühl halten und ich dachte ich probiere mal den NH-D15 aus da er so gelobt wird. Nach einen Monat kann ich sagen dass der Kühler hält was er verspricht. Einen 5900x bei 35 Grad zu halten bei normaler nutzung und browsen und mit bis zu maximal 84 Grad auch bei CPU intensiven spielen + streamen mit x264 encoder schafft er locker. Zwar hat er kein RGB aber das aussehen ist am Ende egal wenn man so eine Leistung kriegt für das Geld was man sonst in eine mittelmäßige AIO reinsteckt.

This is my second Noctua NH-D15. When I learned about the LTT x Noctua collaboration, I immediately sold my old NH-D15 and purchased the Chromax version here at Amazon.

The high price is exchanged for a pretty stunning look. I originally chose the silver D15, but it didnt match the black chassis. The black version fits perfectly with the chassis without RGB design. With the intelligent fan control of the motherboard, my 3900x processor can be completely suppressed, and the chassis fan noise can only be heard under light usage. The temperature for heavy use is also controlled at 70-80 degrees Celsius.

It fits! Mounted this in my Cooler Master Scout 2 Advanced and Noctu site said it will not clear since CM site said max cpu cooler height is 162cm and the NH D15 Chromax Black measures at 165cm once fans our installed. Well it works for me. The second fan sits above the ram slot with a little bit of room. I was able close the case with no issues. The cpu cooler works great . I was coming from the D14 and got this mostly for aesthetic purposes.

PC was overheating pretty bad so I bought this bad boy and havent had my CPU go over 60 °C since. 10/10 would recommend!

One of the best coolers you can buy, my cpu temps have dropped almost 40C. only issue I have is the way you mount the fans on the heat sync can be a bit fiddly.

This monster of a CPU cooler is the best air-cooled one out there. Very easy to install. It keeps my CPU temps low and does it super quietly in the normal Noctua fashion. I absolutely love this cooler. My only con would be that it takes up so much room in my computer. Still 5/5 stars!
