Noctua NH-D15 chromax.Black, Dual-Tower CPU Cooler (140mm, Black)

First I’ve only installed a cooler once before and this is my first ever Noctua product. The packaging was amazing. What’s included looks and feels high quality.Amazing air cooler. My rooms really hot since I don’t have any air conditioning besides a window mounted ac that doesn’t help much so I needed something to cool my cpu since I was in the 70-80 range on my ryzen 7 2700x when gaming on hot days. Installation was easy. Instructions are straight forward. Do keep in mind the size it’s pretty tall. After installing I saw I was now sitting at 58-68 range while playing games like breakpoint/warzone. Compared to my stock ryzen cooler(which is still great in cooler environments) this thing was amazing and will let me play games while I sweat.

Ho recentemente assemblato una workstation basata su un processore AMD Ryzen-9 3950X, scheda madre ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PRO, 64GB di RAM Kingston HyperX Fury 4x16GB DDR4 3200MHz. Il computer è adibito a calcoli di chimica computazionale, che sfruttano il processore al massimo della sua potenza anche per settimane e settimane di fila senza alcuna sosta. Penso che questo tipo di lavoro, pur non avendo particolari necessità grafiche, sia quanto di più pesante ed impegnativo si possa chiedere ad un processore. Inizialmente il PC montava un dissipatore Enermax ETS-T50 AXE (una scelta comunque di qualità, accreditato per dissipare bene fino a 230W) ma la temperatura a pieno carico arrivava spesso fino a 70-71°C in marzo-aprile. Tenendo conto che nei mesi estivi la temperatura della stanza supera sempre i 30°C (praticamente un forno, ma il il settore pubblico questo passa...) ho pensato di sostituire il dissipatore originale con il Noctua NH-D15, vale a dire il meglio tra i dissipatori ad aria secondo tutte le recensioni riportate in rete. Insomma, la temperatura massima è calata di circa 7-8°C, arrivando per ora ad un massimo di 64°C, con le ventole che girano a circa 1100 rpm. Per ora può andare bene così, ma per i mesi estivi dovrò probabilmente sostituire le ventole originali, che arrivano ad un max di 1500 rpm, con delle ventole speciali, sempre della Noctua, che arrivano fino a 3000 rpm. Insomma, così dovrei riuscire a sfangarmela e a stare tranquillo anche nelle condizioni più proibitive. Penso quindi che il Noctua NH-D15 tenga fede alle aspettative e sia davvero un acquisto necessario in determinate condizioni. Se avrò bisogno delle ventole speciali è perché lavoro in condizioni davvero estreme, non perché il dissipatore non valga, tuttaltro. Tengo a segnalare che è estremamente grande e che le RAM sono completamente coperte, ma per il mio PC non ci sono problemi di compatibilità, essendo le Kingston HyperX Fury non particolarmente ingombranti. Una cosa che va detta è che limpiego che faccio del PC sconsiglia luso di un dissipatore a liquido perché se per caso va in avaria la pompa in un momento in cui il PC è incustodito, cioè quasi sempre, è chiaro che in pochi minuti va arrosto tutto quanto, mentre un dissipatore ad aria come questo svolge comunque buona parte del suo lavoro in maniera passiva, cioè indipendentemente dal funzionamento delle ventole, che è comunque difficile che ti piantino allimprovviso e che possono essere controllate con relativa facilità, anche collegandosi in remoto da casa.

The value of this cooler didnt really sink in until I tuned the fans via my ASrock Taichi x570 motherboard. Im cooling an AMD 3950X with this HSF for reference. While running Prime95 torture test Smallest FFTs, the temps get to about 66C. The most enjoyable part is that the CPU fans are running at about 35% speed, somewhere around 700RPM during this test. The fans are almost inaudible while the NH-D15 is cooling about 92W of TDP from the CPU at 100% load.

Es enorme. Lo puse en un h500i y quedó exacto con los dos ventiladores usando memorias ram Ballistix sport que son de perfil bajo. Si las memorias fueran altas sería imposible usarlo con el ventilador derecho. En rendimiento es perfecto y fácil de instalar.

Been wanting to buy this for so long but didnt want a giant peice of silver in my pc, this black edition is Amazing and I love that noctua partnered with linus tech tips to supply the orange accents. 100% recommended this cooler, is one of, if not the best, air coolers you can buy

I have to say this was the easiest cooler I have ever fitted and so quite. got it to replace an a all in one water cooler and this thing actually keeps the CPU cooler and more quite

I have been running an original NH-D15 for over 5 years and it has handled everything Ive thrown at it.

Excelente disipador, funciona de las mil maravillas. Lo recomiendo ampliamente si les gusta tener buen desempeño con poco ruido. Eso si, deben tener un gabinete que soporte una altura del disipador de 170mm
