> 24 hourThis fan is perfect for use as an exhaust fan because of its low noise and high airflow. However, it is not good for filtered intakes due to its very low static pressure. Something like the NF-A12x25(120mm) or the NF-A14(140mm) is a better choice for intakes. I am personally not a fan of the included rubber mounting pins and recommend using the fan screws instead.

> 24 hourBeen a Noctua advocate for about 5 years now. Wont use anything else if I depend on it. I switch out all of my case fans with these cool blasting beauties, as well as, using their CPU fans/ heatsinks. I consistently get as good or better cooling as my buddies using middle of the road liquid cooling systems (of similar price point), but they are ohhhh soooo reliable. Cant say the same for my friends liquid pumps and fans :) Overclocking or not - these are my go to fans! 3 of these are now keeping my Haswell system in the low 50s under heavy load inside a Corsair Vengeance Series C70 case.

> 24 hourMy case is a Cooler Master HAF XB EVO. It comes with 2 stock 120mm fans in front and space for a 120mm fan in the rear. I ordered a fan for the rear and it is good. I just ordered two more Noctua fans and will replace the stock fans in the front of the case.

The NF-S12A"s Anti-Stall Knobs reduce flow separation phenomena in medium to high impedance situations and thereby increase the fan"s stall margin. This means that the NF-S12A is even more versatile than its renowned predecessor and can achieve better performance on heatsinks and radiators.
