> 3 dayI replaced the side intake fans in my Silverstone DS380 with the Noctua NF-F12 due to their high static pressure and the restrictive drive bay area I was working with, as well as PWM speed control. I also built a custom shroud to channel the air through the drive bay. Disk temperatures are about 14°F lower now with the fans running at about 2/3 speed (1000rpm, PWM controlled by motherboard) and are very quiet if not effectively silent. (By comparison, the stock fans with a test shroud improved about 10°F with the fans running at 100%.)

> 3 dayThis is the best CPU fan Ive ever purchased in my many years of building computers. It isnt entirely silent, but very close to it. Im going to replace another CPU fan in a different desktop computer now that I know how quiet it is. Next I will buy some Noctua fans to replace some other noisy fans in my computer.
