24-09-2024I picked up a new (used) mobile VHF/UHF radio for satellite work and was surprised at how noisy the stock fan was. This was a great replacement option. The fan comes with a lot of different connectors that would be appropriate for PC applications, but for the radio, I simply spliced wires and reused the existing connector, using heat-shrink tubing to keep it taut. Its much quieter now.

Greater than one weekIve used this fan as an upgrade from a generic 40mm fan I was using on a printed hot end fan / shroud on my Monoprice Select Mini 3D. This fan is night and day better than the fan it replaced. It moves plenty of air, but the HUGE win with this fan is that it is dead silent. It is so quiet that you almost dont believe your eyes that the fan is actually running. It is no wonder the new Prusa Mk3 uses these fans. They are amazing!

Reduced motor hub size
