As far as the setup goes this is honestly self explanatory to for the avid computer user with a technological background. It works as intended. Reliable product for data transfer. As far as speed goes there is nothing to complain about as it performs to its limitation of speed, but definitely is sufficient for the general network user. If you want greater speeds you would have to invest in something higher capability but this product performs as advertised. I recommend it to anyone needing to increase there network reach to other computers in your work space. Great buy, enjoy!

I’m using this switch so that I can do my work from home with all the wonderful technology that needs to be wired in. I was a little concerned because the box was damaged inside of the packaging. But once I open the box I saw that there was nothing wrong with the actual device or the power supply and it works.

After 1~2 months it started working intermittently... all my devices are unable to access the LAN. Too late to return it to Amazon, I have to throw it away...

This switch was just what I needed to expand from my router. I needed 2 additional ethernet spots and now everything works great. With room to spair.

Good product but doesnt include a wall mount kit which said on the box. I have to find some anchor and screw myself to hang it. I would give a five star if the wall mount screws and anchor are included. Amazon tech support and customer service are very good, customer service is top notch.

We just build a new house and all of the rooms are wired for internet. The problem is that the router that we were provided only had so many ports. I bought this to help extend the number of ports that we had available. NETGEAR is my go to for switches like this and this one did not disappoint. I was not looking for anything managed so this hit the mark 100%. Install is a breeze as you just plug it into power, plug in your internet input and then you have 7 other ports to plug into for the rooms in your home. I will be doing a whole home network with some pro grade equipment, but this has been an amazing band-aid until I have the time to get that all laid out and up and running. I will hold on to it just in case there are any other hubs or devices that I might want to run once inside of a room that might need some extra ports.

The GS308E served its purpose perfectly and pleasantly surprised me with its capabilities. I purchased this switch expecting two things: gigabit speeds and VLAN capability. The switch delivered both of those as well as other features such as bandwidth limiting and QoS.
