Its pretty incredible how accurate these things are. The ratcheting stop is pretty well my favourite part of this because it helps ensure consistent measurements each time. Plus, its Mitutoyo, which is one of the gold-standard brands in measurement.

Mitutoyo still makes a great product

I just transferred to the machining side of our shop operation, and was given a list of tools Id need to buy, in order to be able to perform my duties. Among that list were micrometers. 0-1, and 1-2. I took a look at what the other guys were using, and Mitutoyo was used almost exclusively. I came to Amazon, and began reading pretty much stellar reviews all around for Mitutoyo products. I dove in, even though they seemed to be a little bit pricey. They were absolutely worth the price! They feel great in my hand. They have a little heft to them, which I like, and the finish is gorgeous, and durable to boot. Im not someone whos been in the trade for years, but I can certainly tell a quality product when I see one, and this is definitely one! If you need a micrometer, I really cant recommend Mitutoyo enough!

Use for measuring at work. They display tenths and have smooth action, i like the ratchet spindle, comes with 1.0000 inch test block

Really there is not much to be said. Mitutoyo is a great product. I have been a using a 0-1 Mic for years now I had the need for a bigger one. Smooth accurate Mitutoyo is a great measuring tool. Daily machining or the weekend worrior. Everything will come out perfect using this product.

Mitutoyo mics are always reliable. Theyre reliable, in the toolroom setting.I purchased a set of 1-2 micrometers,because I was using my companys set more and more. The seller was very quick,to deliver.
