> 3 dayIve had these headphones for about a month, and have really enjoyed using them. They sound very clear, and its incredibly easy to separate different instruments and notes. Lower noises sound punchy (again sounding distinct and not muddled together), and higher notes dont sound too sharp. Listening to music on these headphones sounds very full and rich. These headphones replicate sound very well. In my opinion, listening to instruments sounds like they were being played right in your head (obviously this also depends on the quality of the recording). The wood on the pair I received was a lighter color than in the pictures. Not nearly as light as the maple, but more of a tan color. The grain circles around where the band attaches (not sure if that really every differs). The ability to plug in different lengths of cable is pretty handy. Though I wish it was possible to put the headphones in the case without having to take them out (they stick out the bottom a bit too much). The biggest complaint I have about these headphones (which I dont think is a deal breaker keeping in mind the other positives), is that the automatic sizing of the band feels like it squeezes or pulls up just a bit too much. So wearing them for a few hours then taking them off feels like like taking your shoes off wearing them all day, in that you could probably wear them longer, but its nice to take them off. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a pair of good headphones. I would say if these are in your budget, theyre well worth the cost.

> 3 dayGo to the website and see for yourself, high-tech , great engineering, WOW comfort and sound ! I am used to listening with a system of Paradigm speakers- Atmos setup , all Prestige level and Anthem Processor (AVM60) and Amps -A5 and PVA 4, I listen for the enjoyment of quality sound production, listening sessions are special times for me. I am blessed to be able to do this, so, I decided that I would try headphones , needed some for privacy and not disturbing others times. So, I began to explore new options, came across the Meze products, studied the company, read the reviews, and said ok, go for it.....well, very glad I did! The 99 Classics were all and some more added to the build-up. took the 1993 Pink Floyd “Pulse” DVD ,listened to disc 2 and became a member of the audience, immersed in the event. There is a lot I could say about the production of this masterful work/ music and light show production, but that is not the point, pick your own sources, the Meze 99 classics are very, very Good- for the $, a real steal of a value . Looking forward to my next selection of music from the collection of music DVD/ BluRay, maybe Bruce Hornsby “ Three Nights on the Town” concert or One of the Clapton “Crossroads” concerts... whatever, Try the Meze, I think you will enjoy them . Greater than one weekThe sound quality of the Meze Audio 99 Classics is amazing! When one compares to a similar foreign over the ears headphones brand, one can hear all of the subtleties in the music. The comfort of these headphones is thrilling. They rest comfortably over the ears and feel like one is handling a delicate yet fine working piece of electronics. Highly recommend the Meze Audio 99 Classics. I get compliments on these headphones. The volume paired with an iPhone can get very loud. Reasons why disfavored diverse Americans like my pair.

> 3 dayThese are wonderful headphones. I’m far from an expert, but I have had many headphones… pods, buds, over-ear, etc. I’ve had a couple of sets that cost right about the same as these. There’s no comparison. The Meze 99’s produce great sound. Clarity, yes. Range, sure. Detail, that’s probably the most noticeable for me. I love when I can hear a note through it’s decay. I listen to a lot of types of music: rock and pop to ambient and techno, hard bop jazz to ballads, classical, even a little opera. I’ve had these almost a month, and so far they provide the same high quality for everything I put into them. I did realize in the first few days listening with them that my glasses under the pads greatly reduced the quality. Not a surprise, but I’m pretty new to glasses. So, I can adjust them just above the pads and read while listening to amazing music. I hear from many experts that these compete with much more expensive headphones. Couldn’t confirm that, as I’ve never heard any of those. I’d just say music sounds very enjoyable to me with these. It’s as close as I’ve ever experienced to being in the same room with the music from headphones.

> 3 dayThe best headphones that I’ve ever owned, but the head strap took some getting used to because it became uncomfortable after long us. I have a bald head so that is probably why. Also, the overhead metal support bars makes an annoying tinging sound when hit by accident while listening to music. Sound quality is top notch no matter what music I play through them.

> 3 dayI got these after watching dankpods. He was right. These have quality sound in bass, mids, and ok high end. I use these with my ipod all the time. Im thinking of getting a Bluetooth amp.

Greater than one weekThe 99 Classics are beautiful and comfortable. The sound is good. But I also got a pair of Airpod Maxs at the same time. It would be very difficult for any headphone to compete with them. I tried the 99s with the balanced cable, going into a Quedelix 5k DAC/AMP, which was plugged directly into my new MacBook, so fully digital, playing Apple lossless music at the highest quality setting. So I was giving the 99s their best chance to sound great. And they did sound good. But their soundstage is fairly narrow compared to the AirPod Maxs, which manage to sound better, even over Bluetooth. Even my AirPod Pros have a bigger soundstage and sound better to me. I also tried a pair of Moondrop Aria IEMs ($80) plugged into the Quedelix with a standard cable, and they sounded better than the 99s, at less than 1/3 the price. If they expanded the soundstage on the 99s I think they would be much more competitive.

> 3 dayGreat overall frequency response, better than my speakers. Nice and comfortable. These are not noise cancelling.

Greater than one weekIts amazing. I honestly was thinking that headphones are headphones and these are just nicer build quality, but ohhh I was wrong. The 99 classics sound phenomenal. I was using a 75$ pair of Bluetooth ones before and I thought that they sounded good, but the 99s out pace my 75$ pair by miles. The only thing that I think could be added is active noise canceling, but is still really good at blocking noise out with the full over ear, Im not sayi3ng dont buy these. You shouldnt use these if your in really loud spaces, but any other place these are perfect. These are definitely the most functional headphones Ive ever used. Also very durable with the steel and little plastic.

> 3 dayIf you have trouble finding a hat that fits, dont buy this unless you plan on crafting your own replacement headband to make it fit. That said, this is a very good and forgiving headset. Audio is loud and bassy as fun headphones tend to be, but all the extra sounds you normally miss are still there. All while it covers up and forgives issues in mixing of any song you listen to. I love the sound, but I cant make it fit. An additional note is that the ear cushions are too firm, I would recommend the BRAINWAVZ brand replacement earpads as an additional purchase if you find that stiff earpads are uncomfortable.
