> 3 dayAbsolutely wonderful headphones. Paired it with my FIIO Amp and it gives me a full bodied sound. The balance between the bass, the mids, and the higher end is amazing for this price point. Love the amount of accessories it came with including different cables and an airplane adapter. The last headphones that I got with an airplane adapter were Bose Quietcomforts. These are miles above those with regards to sound quality. I found my new set of headphones for listening. These ones!

Greater than one weekI have a number of good headphones strewn around, but these Meze are the ones Ive been enjoying most. Are they dramatically better than my Sennheiser HD6xx, or BeyerDynamic 770s? No, but they just seem a tad more lively. Maybe this is totally subjective: the walnut earcups just make me happy. These cans get a tiny bit warm after 45 minutes or so, but Im not sure any worse than the others I own. I was able to find a used pair on Amazon for about half of the new price, so I feel I lucked out. Would I feel as happy if I paid full price? Hmm, dunno, but I was prepared to spring for them and I dont think Id be complaining. I also am happy that the accessories include long and short cables.

> 3 dayIf you have trouble finding a hat that fits, dont buy this unless you plan on crafting your own replacement headband to make it fit. That said, this is a very good and forgiving headset. Audio is loud and bassy as fun headphones tend to be, but all the extra sounds you normally miss are still there. All while it covers up and forgives issues in mixing of any song you listen to. I love the sound, but I cant make it fit. An additional note is that the ear cushions are too firm, I would recommend the BRAINWAVZ brand replacement earpads as an additional purchase if you find that stiff earpads are uncomfortable.

> 3 dayIncredible headphones. A lot has been made of their current pad iterations, and it is mostly overblown. They are likely warmer than the older ones, but they are not like listening through a wall as I saw one user review claim. They are certainly warm and have ample bass, but the detail is stellar and nuanced, and Id say just about perfectly balanced. I will agree that the bass may be a touch overly resonant for some of my music, but an email exchange with Meze reveals that they are planning on making various pad options available so that you can play with different sound signatures, so I will be looking out for that.

Greater than one weekI was skeptical of these headphones. Who is Meze? Theyre not one of the established audio brands. They simply cant be good. However, after reading so many positive reviews, I felt like I needed to give them a try. Im so glad that I did. These headphones are something special. The feel, look, and most importantly sound special. I wont describe the fit, finish, and comfort, as thats been done in great detail in other reviews. For me it was the sound that made these so incredible. I have no idea what dark voodoo Meze is working with their drivers, but it is amazing. Do they sound better than Focal Utopias, or Audeze LCD 4s? No, but they sound better then anything in their price range, and many that are above it. More amazing is the fact that the sound excellent without a dedicated amp, and you can get a solid HIFI experience from your iPhone. Which is fantastic! Hook them up do a decent DAC, and youre in for a real treat. The only negative Ive seen is that theyre so sensitive, that its easy to send them too much power. So be cautious. Other than that, theyre a great pairing with any music Ive tried. Buy them, and youll be very happy.

> 3 dayAs I suspected, the 99 Classic is easily worth the price. Of five pairs of hp I own, theyre the cheapest of all. But the sound from the 99 is very far from being cheap. Certainly more bass than my Oppo PM-3, even with upgraded ear pads.

> 3 dayThese are my first audiophile headphones. The sound compared to cheap headhones and earbuds is amazing. I have a large head and wear glasses, the headphones are very comfortable which was very important to me. The headphones are a little bass heavy but it is not over powering. I am driving them with Schiit Magni and Modi paired optically to my windows computer.

> 3 dayThe 99 Classics are beautiful and comfortable. The sound is good. But I also got a pair of Airpod Maxs at the same time. It would be very difficult for any headphone to compete with them. I tried the 99s with the balanced cable, going into a Quedelix 5k DAC/AMP, which was plugged directly into my new MacBook, so fully digital, playing Apple lossless music at the highest quality setting. So I was giving the 99s their best chance to sound great. And they did sound good. But their soundstage is fairly narrow compared to the AirPod Maxs, which manage to sound better, even over Bluetooth. Even my AirPod Pros have a bigger soundstage and sound better to me. I also tried a pair of Moondrop Aria IEMs ($80) plugged into the Quedelix with a standard cable, and they sounded better than the 99s, at less than 1/3 the price. If they expanded the soundstage on the 99s I think they would be much more competitive.

> 3 dayFirst and foremost, these are gorgeous headphones. Meze has really gone above and beyond with premium materials and premium presentation. I was impressed from the moment I opened them. Accessories are all there and packaged in a thoughtful and beautiful manner. My only gripe is the sound - its just not for me. The sound is rich, thick, intimate but to a fault. Im used to planars which are quick but these are too slow and muddy for me to seriously consider it at this price point.

Greater than one weekI wanted something closed back for when my sundaras would not suit me. These felt like a total downgrade other than the accessories. A small sound stage, too much bass, strange bad small fit, and a questionable build was what made me return them. The case and multiple cables are nice but Id rather that quality go into the headphones themselves. The wood feels like plastic and the metal is thin. They have a weird auto one size fits all thing that didnt work for me. Perhaps I have a big head. Either way, I did not like these and I would recommend one purchases the hifiman Sundara instead.
