> 3 dayThe best headphones that I’ve ever owned, but the head strap took some getting used to because it became uncomfortable after long us. I have a bald head so that is probably why. Also, the overhead metal support bars makes an annoying tinging sound when hit by accident while listening to music. Sound quality is top notch no matter what music I play through them.

> 3 dayThe sound is fantastic for the money, very comfortable, and nice looking. I hope the earpieces, being faux leather or pleather, will hold up over time. If they were leather, these would be perfect.

24-09-2024These are my first audiophile headphones. The sound compared to cheap headhones and earbuds is amazing. I have a large head and wear glasses, the headphones are very comfortable which was very important to me. The headphones are a little bass heavy but it is not over powering. I am driving them with Schiit Magni and Modi paired optically to my windows computer.

> 3 dayGreat pair of headphones for when youre on the go. A really good amount of detail and clarity, similar to M50x. But much better bass thump. Great vocals. Like many warmer, thumpier headphones between $150-$500, these are very forgiving of whatever source/dac/amp you use, so I never feel the need to use a specialized dac/amp with these. It does improve with the H2, of course, but the difference is not as dramatic as it is for the m50x, Utopias, HD800, T1. The Meze 99 Classics are as forgiving as the tr80/250. I also think the Meze 99 Classics have struck a really fun, musical balance between the different frequency ranges. Not flat by any means, but foot tapping fun. The sound profile and forgiving nature of the sound and the lightness of the Meze 99 Classics are ideal when out and about town, but not needing noise cancellation. The original headphones I used for being out and about, but not needing noise cancellation was the tr80/250. It has a nice thumpy sound, isolates okay, gets in a good amount of detail and clarity, is very forgiving of the source, but somehow lacks the toe tapping fun of the Meze 99 Classics. The only thing I wish is that these had the fold flat capability of the m50x (the analytical headphones I reserve for audio recording). Fold flat is useful for both getting into my thin iPad bag, and also when I want the headphones around my neck and out of the way.

> 3 dayBest headphones I’ve tried by far. You can hear every detail in the music. It’s a great addition to my home studio and has completely changed my practice routine!

headphones for 150 suck balls
> 3 dayAfter ten hours of use, the padding on one side fell off. You can see the one drop of glue on the broken side connecting the foam padding they claim as noise cancella It is a plastic bond glue, Checked it.. It is not walnut wood, nor the connectors gold. I do not want my money back, I want to warn others not to get completely robbed.

> 3 dayThese are my first purchase of audiophile grade headphones and these have surpassed any expectations I had. Blah blah blah, I could tell you all about myself but Id rather focus on the product here. I will say that although I have worked my way up the chain for home stereo listening, for years Ive listened to MP3s on my phone with cheap-ass ear buds. I mainly use the Meze 99s at work and have three listening options - turntable, PC and newly purchased iBasso DX80. My previous pair of headphones was a pair of Jabra Bluetooth so I was able to do some comparison. The Meze 99s blew me away! I listen to anything from classical (DSDs & vinyl) to recordings of music from the early 1900s sourced directly from 78. There is a lot in between there, too, like early Jazz, Electronica (mainly early Industrial), 60s/70s rock and a lot of 70s/80s punk and hardcore music. These Meze 99s surprised the heck out of me as the mastering/source quality is all over the place from track to track but I was able to hear an improvement almost everything - there was more to the music that Ive ever heard before. Enjoying everything so far Im now dusting off numerous things I havent listened to in years to see what it sounds like in this new light. I really like the construction as well. They easily adjust without any intervention to any head size. I also find them to be very comfortable over my ears, seems like the pads that come with are the perfect size for my ears. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone stepping into the world of high-end headphones. I do have one regret - I wish I bought the maple/silver...whaaa me, that is only aesthetics and really, when listening to them I dont have to look at them.

> 3 dayI own an embarrassing number of headphones priced from $800.00 to $10.00. I own open back, closed back, semi open back, ANC, iems, bluetooth headphones, bluetooth iems. These headphones stand out in the crowd for their performance, build quality and outstanding looks. They are extremely comfortable and can be worn for hours without fatigue. They feature a enjoyable sound signature with a slightly boosted low end. While many headphones today boost their lows these dont sound muddy or boomy like most of the other companies. The bass goes deep but never bumps up against the mids or gets unnatural. Mids are well represented and very smooth and accurate. Highs sing a very nice song without sibulance or fatigue. For closed back cans their sound stage is impressive with good width and depth. Instruments are well placed and easy to pick out. These have become my favorite closed back headphones because they have such an enjoyable sound. I do have a more detailed and technicaly accurate pair of closed back headphones but they reveal every flaw in poorly recorded songs or dont sound good with lower bit rate recordings. The Mezes just shine no matter what the source, bit rate or quality of the recording they just make songs sound better. In addition they scale well with better sources and amps. Very nice with tube amps. Wow, beauty, comfort and just plain enjoyable sound. What more can you expect from a headphone.
