I needed a small compressor for interior trim etc. And until now I have used a long retractable reel and compressor mounted in my van. It’s always weird to drag a hose through and door/window which has its own annoyances. Also hate dragging the bigger compressor around for small jobs or finish carpentry. This unit is so light and unbelievably quiet! When I turned on I was blown away. I wished it had higher regulated pressure but so far it’s been great for pins/brads/finish nails. It even drives 2.5” coil nails, but you have to let the motor catch up so you can’t rapid fire. For a remodel it may shoot a few framing nails too, but within reason and one might have to hammer the nail right.

I owned a similar sized compressor in the past see photo. Some low life in south central Michigan decided they needed it more than I did, and broke into my garage and stole it along with a bunch of other stuff. If you know of somebody who acquired one of these used about a year ago, please send me their address, so I can personally deliver the owners manual to them. ;) Now, back on subject. The Metabo is an excellent replacement for my missing compressor. Although it only pumps half as much air, it is incredibly quiet. It is perfect for running trim nailers and staplers indoors, and blowing up tires and such. It is fairly lightweight and balances well in the hand when carrying it. I cannot over emphasize how quiet this thing is. It sounds about as loud as a small electric fan set on low speed. I like this compressor a lot.

Great quiet compressor for 1 month and 3 days. Today went to turn it on and it is leaking out of the check valve and unusable because it cant build pressure in the tank. Its really awesome how this happened 3 days after the 1 month no questions asked return window. Now I have to take my time and take it to a warranty service center. Not what you expect from either Hitachi or Metabo hopefully this isnt the case for Metabo/HPT or they are going to ruin two great brands. I am glad I dont have a finish carpentry job this week.

If you only need a small capacity compressor to run a little finish gun or similar, this thing rocks. So freaking quiet, with little suction cup feet that keep it from sliding all around on the floor when it cycles, drain cock isnt a horrible threaded little brass fitting that you can never tighten enough by hand, but instead a 90 degree valve on or off. Just miles and miles better in every way than the horrible little oil compressor I picked up at home depot to do the same job and was almost glad to see bite the dust...

only negative --hard to read gauges unless you are setting on the floor. Other than that compressor is awesome. Well built but very light. I installed base boards and door trim on whole house. Compressor easy to move and easily kept up on air. Even my wife noticed how quiet it is. Great value --I had doubts about it being as quiet as claimed but pleasantly surprised. well worth the money

Best single garage tool I have even bought. Great quality, great design, and quiet. Charges quickly. Glad I selected this one instead of another!

Holy crud its quiet! Its essentially an airbrush compressor on a 1 gallon reserve tank. Good for brad guns, staples, and airbrushing. I use it to clean up RC cars. Nice and quiet and wont bug the guys in the pits. Runs out of air quick, but refills in about 30 seconds. Its pretty heavy and rugged.

As long as you dont need a large volume of air this thing is great. Its not going to supply a framing nailer but for trim nailers and tire inflation its totally adequate.
