First, when connected to my MacBook Pro 16, this is an awesome monitor. Setup was easy, and it gracefully handles being plugged in, and unplugged. The speakers on the back are even useful. Now for the bad. Theres no easy way to adjust the sound when the app doesnt present a volume slider. When using with Linux, it sort of works, but there are no settings that can place the monitor in some kind of comparability mode, so I get half a screen what is basically unusable. This means that in my dual setup, If I want to do development on Linux, I need to use another monitor.

Ive been looking for the perfect monitor for the past couple of years and didnt want to spend all that money on the new Mac studios. I finally took the plunge with this monitor after extensive research and Im so glad that I did!! This a GREAT option for graphic designers like myself as the coloring out of the box was good to go. I almost like it better than my Macbook pro display. Its also probably one of the few budget friendly monitors out there that not only has great specs but looks great as well. I wanted something aesthetically pleasing alongside my mac. If you do any design, photo, or video work – this monitor is for you!

So far I am loving this monitor, for the price this is an excellent display. The 27inch size is perfect for me. Plenty of screen real estate to get work done, the 4K resolution helps as well. Especially when you scale the resolution for more space. The colors in my opinion are very accurate, I can definitely notice some differences from my P3 calibrated MacBook Pro but it very close. I do some minor photo editing and the experience has been great so far. The matte display is also very nice. I’ve used previous monitors with matte displays and this one is noticeably high quality. You don’t see that typical grainy texture that often comes with matte displays. USB-C connectivity is extremely useful, it’s very nice to use one cable for display and power. I have experienced a few times where I noticed the MacBook was not charging but it only happens occasionally. My only complaint is the stand is a little cheap feeling, I wish the whole thing was metal and a little my sturdy. The HDR performance is pretty terrible, I don’t recommend it. When you enable HDR it looks noticeably worse. But the standard display settings out of the box are adequate for most. I would say this monitor is excellent and I would highly recommend it if your looking for a midrange 4K monitor.

Not the greatest monitor I’ve ever owned but not bad for the price. Only gripes: 1. The arching stand is atheistically pleasing but functionally ridiculous. Takes up a great deal of real estate on the desk and does not seem as stable as a more traditional monitor stand. 2. Why on earth would anyone send the manual on CD in the year 2023? Either print out a one pager on how to navigate the menu system or give us a QR code to find it on your website. I just want to plug and play, not go through a wild goose chase to find out how to use all the features I paid for.

I purchased this after returning the Samsung M80B as it gave me a headache. This thing had perfect color (for my needs at least) out of the box. Pros: Easy to set up Tons of connections options Stand has the perfect tension for going up and down Picture looks great even if the blacks cannot get as dark as a VA panel Very easy on the eyes Cons: I dont like the control button placement on the bottom. I have a controller that I have to move every time I need to get to it Contrast is not quite as rich as the Samsung VA panel I returned Not a native resolution to my Mac Studio although I dont have the wallet for the 5k version

Picture quality is good. I tried contacting amazon for an issue regarding speakers but they didn’t help me. The speakers doesn’t work with macbook.

I choose this monitor because it was 4k and it had a usb-c connection. Well after using it for a long time I dont recommend it. I would prefer to use a 2k monitor instead. I have two problems with it. Even dough it is an IPS panel if the image stays too long it burns the screen(I thought this wasnt an issue with this panel). Secondly, I thought that 60fps would be a cake to move but it is not. The screen has problems moving the resolution smoothly. I had the option of buying a 2k screen with 165fps and I would take that if I knew how this one works. Also, I cant use the usb-c as a display port/hdmi with my computer so it is an extra that I cant use but that is my computers fault.

This is likely the best monitor that Ive owned. Color, brightness and image definition are excellent. The speakers are oriented away from the user. That is less than ideal. Ful disclosure, I seldom have audio on when operating my desktop. My main gripe is the on/off button. It has dual functionality in that it is also used to access various monitor controls. Not infrequently when I try to power the monitor off, it instead brings up a control menu. A bit annoying. Id prefer two buttons.

I connect this monitor to my M1 MacBook Air and it works great. I keep the MacBook in clamshell mode and it charges nicely while using the monitor. There also seems to be a battery health think going on because it will go down to 80% and then back up to 100%. I think this is Apple keeping the battery moving and healthy. Would not hesitate to recommend this monitor to those in my situation. The con is that the speakers are not great - they are OK. Other than that - wonderful monitor.

The screen itself is pretty good in most aspects for the price, except HDR. I tested the monitor with Windows, Mac, PS4, and PS5 in HDR, the colors just do not look right compared to my TV (Sony X900H), no matter how I tune the gamma, contrast, and so on. Peak brightness is okay, but the minimum brightness can be too bright under low light conditions, it is still pretty high compared to the MacBook that I mainly use this screen with. The stand is pretty nice, the screen can be mounted and unmounted quickly, and the screen can be rotated vertically. Although it can only be rotated clockwise by 90°, you cant rotate it counterclockwise, which can be a problem if you had a multi-screen setup and decided to put this monitor closely to the right of another one, the menu joystick at the bottom of the screen would be hard to reach. Speaking of the menu joystick, its not the easiest thing to use, I would prefer a few buttons.

Upgrade to an LG UltraFine IPS 4K screen, delivering ultra HD resolution with supremely accurate colors, even when viewed off-angle. The 27-inch display offers versatility of USB Type C connectivity (60 Watt power delivery) plus the benefits of HDCP 2.2 compatibility, so it will seamlessly display 4K content from a variety of sources. Experience smooth gameplay with AMD FreeSync (used with supported video cards), virtually eliminating screen tearing and stuttering that occur as a result of the difference between a graphics card"s frame rate and monitor"s refresh rate. Dynamic Action Sync reduces input lag and elevates your gameplay, allowing you to respond to your opponents quickly. Keep visibility even in dark scenes—LG"s Black Stabilizer senses dark scenes and helps make it brighter so that you can find the enemies hiding and waiting to attack your player in the dark. *Software download required to enable OnScreen Control.
