This is the third case I have ordered and the photograph shows up well as to how it works. The padding is about right without being too bulky and my first hard disk has not being damaged by shock for over two years now and gets bounced about and transported in a back pack every day.

Overall the case is good. It is much like other cases that I have bought over the years and it functions just fine. However, the dimensions in the product description are a little misleading. Amazon and the manufacturer are at fault here They measure the overall compartment and they should measure the depth of each compartment as separated by the divider. According the to the dimensions given, it should have been able to handle the Seagate 4TB 2.5 drive. Plus, the fact that Amazon promotes this as a pair with that drive is further reason to think so, and was the final reason why I bought the case with the drive. However, it doesnt even come remotely close to being able to close with the 4TB drive inside, and it is because of the divider between the two compartments. Fortunately I had another case without the divider and I was able to do some swapping around and ultimately found a way to use this one, but it definitely was not good for what it was promoted to do. If it werent for the misleading measurements in the description (presumably from the manufacturer) and the misleading promoting pairing it with the 4TB drive, Id probably give the case a 5. But given that I bought something that didnt work as advertised gets a 2 star reduction.

This is a great find. My daughter uses it all of the time for her hard drive storage and travel and loves it.

I travel all over the country - 32,000+ miles last year. Had two of these for my HDs to back up everything and they work great, nice and easy, sturdy, would get again.
