Update 7/21/22: Still 5 stars. Working perfectly and durable. Carry it around in my pack with 2 PCs (work and personal). Packaging this comes in is so nice and durable that I hated to throw it out - but did, yesterday. The box almost seemed like I should use it for something but resisting my hoarding temptations, got rid of it. Someone mentioned it in a review as being fragile. I do not get that feeling but I suppose if you damaged it, then you might think that. But they still gave it 5-stars, anyway. The tech still seems like magic that video and power can both go in that usb-c cable (if you have a video capable USB-C port which you likely do not, if not having a newer and better computer but still great with the provided HDMI mini connector). ------ I took this out of the box and plugged it into my work PC with the USB-C to USB-C connector that came with the monitor. It came right to life perfectly. Thats it - connected with one cable and it was on. The settings to extend the monitor, duplicate the screen, etc. worked exactly like any second monitor and was super simple (these are settings on your computer - not the monitor). There is sound from a built in speaker which might work if you need sound in a pinch but ANY computer or phone speakers will be much better (my phone speakers blow this monitors speakers away). With my older but still pretty modern Acer notebook the USB-C is not apparently the newest and will only provide power and will not feed the video like my newer Dell work notebook. It still works well, however, by using the USB-C for power and the provided HDMI to mini-HDMI connector. So it just needed 2 cables instead of 1 and it worked perfectly (have it on right this second). It is amazing (to me, anyway) how well this works with just power from the USB-C cable. The quality of the display seems comparable to my desktop external monitor or any screen on a notebook computer. The cover/stand took me a minute to figure out but it is very simple. Just took a minute to see how they meant for it to work but then, super simple. I hope the screen is durable as I plan to carry it around in my backpack with my 2 PCs when I work outside the house.

I purchased this monitor a little while back and I dont regret anything about it. It is perfect for software engineers who are on the move and need 2 screens for the applications we use.

I do data analytics so high graphics isnt important. I just need extra screens for all the information. Got them new on special for Christmas. The resolution is low but I just need them for numbers. I bought two and daisy chain them. They use the power from the thunderbolt.

The information on this monitor needs to be expanded to tell all of the smartphones that it can pair with and the ones that it cannot be paired with. I have a One Plus Nord 200 T-Mobile phone and this is not even picking up a signal from it, for me to share my screen. I wish I had known that before buying it. Otherwise, it works with th Lenovo computer from work. I have a new Sony Vaio computer coming tomorrow, so I will see if this is compatible with that. Now, I have to find a little tablet that is compatible with it just to project my Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube videos. Thats disappointing! 12/28/22 update: Not compatible to pick up signaling from my Sony Vaio either.

I had to purchase a new display monitor as my asus mb16ace monitor would no longer show udemy vids correctly due to USB C issue. The KYY monitor came securely packaged and with all the different connections needed for my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) to get connected. I am currently using the USB C power block, along with the HDMI output from my laptop. So far, everything is working as expected and is intuitive to setup. The only issue that I foresee and am still figuring out is connecting to bluetooth headphones while using the KYY display. It seems that HDMI audio must go through the KYY display only, havent discovered a way around having to use the displays audio port. Otherwise, I can continue learning and feel this is a good purchase in continuing my studies on udemy.

I bought this a year ago since I work remote and travel a lot - this was the best quality I could find for the lowest weight. It has served me well, but within one month the USB-C port stopped working for anything but power - it would not transfer picture. For that first month it was great because I only needed the one chord, but since then I have needed a power chord and the mini-HDMI-to-HDMI chord (which you cant find in tech stores by the way, only on Amazon). About 6 months after purchase, I started to notice that the picture chord would only work if held a certain way, so I always had to prop something extra under the connected chord to get a picture. And finally today, 11 months after purchase, the picture stopped transferring altogether - Ive tried both chords I have now its just a nice big paperweight. I think Ill buy it again because it was very useful for that year, this time I will just use the support as soon as something stops working so hopefully I can keep it fixed within the warranty.

The screen itself is perfectly fine. I wish I could change the size of the apps, since it doesnt accept the display settings of the main laptop it is connected to, and theres no way to change the resolution or zoom on the device itself. The stand, however, is awful on this model. The magnet in the case is not strong enough to hold its shape when the monitor is placed on it. It just collapses. Utterly useless. Buy a different model with the folding cover, not the slip on case. This is terrible.

This is a high quality monitor that simply turns on when the USB C is pugged into my Mac. In addition, the case is high quality and stands up well for working in any environment. I recommend this to anyone looking for a portable external monitor.

I work remotely, but when I travel and just have laptop having this second screen is great! It’s so much better and bigger than I imagined. The picture is clear and easy to connect and set up.

The screen size and resolution are great! I purchased this to replace smaller portable monitors that cost a lot more! I use a MacBook Pro with this monitor.
