I was blown away by how easy this was to use and how good the picture was. Primarily my wife uses this for cookie decorating but we have used it for movies outside for the kids too.

This projector is adorably small, perfect for putting in my pocket and walking out to an event. The image displayed is clear and bright, even during the day in a room with lights on. It charges using the standard USB-C, which means I can just use my phone charger (very convenient). The interface is so far very intuitive, and I have plans to test it with various connection methods (wireless, USB, HDMI, etc.) over the weekend.

Great for camping, weekend away or using on ceilings. Only downside is the internal speaker but easy to hook to Bluetooth and use with a better speaker

Perfect for what I needed it for. I originally got it for projecting art onto my canvas to trace but the quality is good enough to also watch movies on it. Came on top shape I’m very pleased. Quality is very clear.

Sometimes it can be a pain in the butt to connect via screen mirroring. However, if you have a laptop with hdmi port then you’re golden and it works so beautifully, super quick set up.

The Kodak Luma 150 is a portable projector that is able to connect to any device with an available HDMI. To use this with a mobile device you will need to use an adapter which I found is very easy to use. When first opening the package, you are greeted with a manual, a charging cable, a small HDMI cable, multiple outlet adapters for different regions of the world, and the projector. The projector has a battery life of about 1 hour and 30 minutes on a full charge. Using a wall outlet to charge I found that it takes about 1-2 hours to charge depending on how low it is. The battery life is a slight downside for the price as most movies are longer than it can hold a charge but can always be used while it is plugged in. The speakers were also quiet, however, there is the ability to connect to external speakers. To access the buttons, you tap the middle of the top of the projector which lights up the other options. The main menu makes it simple to navigate as it gives basic options for how to connect to any device. There is also a Bluetooth option which doesn’t work as well as the direct HDMI connection, but it is still an option. There is a scroll wheel on the side to adjust the clarity of the picture. Pros: Compact and easy for travel. Convenient and easy to set up. Simple and reliable connection. Adjustable quality settings. Cons. Speakers could be louder. Battery life is only about 1 and ½ hours. It takes about the same time, maybe longer to charge the battery as it lasts.

The 150 does exactly what I wanted it to do. It connected seamlessly to my iPhone and iPad screen mirroring. I am able to photograph my smaller sketches and paintings then project them in pretty much any size desired. It really simplifies the transfer. It works in low light although you sacrifice some color saturation. If you are wanting to project video and movies it’s pretty basic, not great detail, contrast or color…. but I think it’s not terrible for outdoor movies and such. I certainly prefer my TV but this could be fun. Small, easy to work and priced well.

I have been using a pico projector for three (3) years and it finally took a dirt nap, on the eve of receiving my next replacement. My setup was perfect; a middle of the road tripod for support, Bluetooth speaker (JBL Charge) with transmitter for sound, 26100 power bank (anker) for power, and an iCODIS G1 Mobile Pico Projector for image. I could watch video on a remote island for up to 10 hours without a household power supply. After the lose of my current pico projector I decided to find a temporary replacement while I wait for my Phillips PicoMax to be build and shipped I stumbled upon this Kodak Luma 150. The Luma 150 had all the makings to be a great upgrade to my previous G1, which lacked some features but was a solid unit for the last three (3) years. I was excited to see that this unit would charge via micro USB as my G1 did, big plus to extend the viewing time, offer wireless connection for my laptop and phone, an HDMI input, and USB & microSD. I was even more excited to see keystone correction, even if it was just vertical only, step up from the G1. It did lose points for not having a remote, but I figured this was temporary and it was not greatly needed, although it would make navigating the SD card easier. Now that I have received my unit and had a chance to get hand on with it I have some insight to help any potential purchaser and am open to information to change my experience. The unit is of solid construction and great portable size. I will highlight my positives and then address my negatives. The Good The focus wheel; smooth yet firm to ensure the focus remains where you want it and able to adjust in fine increments. The touch buttons; good reaction time, although you must push the center button to activate the controls. Tripod mount; perfectly located in the center. Image quality; good brightness (best in low light rooms), good picture quality (note the native resolution is 480). USB/MicroSD; Works great supports my video library (avi), however only supports FAT32 (32 GB or less) The Bad Vertical keystone correction; missing, this feature does not appear to be installed on the unit I received, however when you go to the Kodak website for this product this feature is not highlighted. I contacted Kodak support and I was told it should happen automatically within seconds, however, they could not tell me what the angle correction was for this unit, leading me to believe this is not available in the Luma 150. Menu; When you start the unit you are greeted with a menu offering your inputs, wireless, video, image, and HDMI. This unit lacks a settings menu, for video (brightness, contrast, etc), Audio (stereo, level adjustment, etc), and other features. Volume control; (minor peeve) the volume is on a scale from 0 to 100, which is great however it increases in increments of 10 giving you 10 levels of volume only. I suppose this is adequate but why not just have the scale from 0 to 10, only makes sense. Speaker; (unimportant in my opinion but reviewing it still) the on board speaker is barely loud enough (at 80) or it is crackly (at 90+). I ma not sure why pico projector manufactures even bother with a speaker, it wastes space and only works if you holding it next to your ear. I have found a Bluetooth speaker with transmitter or one that plugs in work the best and is needed. HDMI; (this possibly was only my experience) I usually us my Roku with my pico projector and when I connected it to the Luma 150 my Roku stick it did not display an image and heated up beyond safe ranges. Then I attempted to connect my DVD player this time no audio (likely a incompatible codex between each device). In conclusion, I will be returning this device and wait out the three to four weeks until I received my PicoMax without a pocket projector. This unit has a good purpose and someone other than my-self may be in need of this purpose, But Buyer beware that the advertising of Auto Vertical Keystone correction is false.

I got more than I expected with this little unit. Its bright and perfect for my needs as an artist. Im not sure how long the battery lasts for yet but so far Im really happy with it. Its also way smaller than I expected. Its easy to take it anywhere. I wish it came with a little bag or case but Im sure I can make one.
