> 24 hourI have used K&N filters on my cars with spin on filters for many years. At first, I thought the price was way outrageous, but after reading some performance reviews for the big box mass market filters, I finally understood the importance of a durable, well made filter. K&N, Mobile 1, etc. make some of the best filters around. I particularly like the nut fitting at the end of the filter as it aids with removal in tight spaces. As mentioned earlier, they are quite expensive, but then again, I only change my oil 2 times a year (every 7500 miles and use Mobile 1 or Royal Purple) so the cost is not that bad, but still look for them when they are on sale.

> 24 hourDespite all the Reviews and high praise, alost of that comes from advertising and hype remember. Not saying this oil filter is bad, i love it, but it is very expensive for a resin type fiber filter. It will filter well, but not as well as say, glass enchanced nano filters from other brands, especially at this price range. Those other filters may not have as high flow rates, but i do not run a racing dry oil sump system in my car. Some good things about this filter though, it has a thick steel casing and a removal nut, i personally just use my hands to twist off, but for some, the nut can be a real help in taking the filter off. This is a high quality product, do not get me wrong, its just this filter does not fit my situation as well as say, a mobil1 or purolator filter.

> 24 hourK & N know a thing or two about filters. In fact, they are well known in racing and high performance. For the average Joe or Jane, their filters protect your vehicles better than OEM products. Their Oil filters are very effective at removing the gunk in the oil and keeps your engine running as it should. They took the time to design in a feature making it easier to remove then their competitors. Nice touch. Spend a little more buying K & N. You will not be disappointed with the best products for your car.

> 24 hourI just got it delivered tonight. It was quick, but even though the oil filter was in a box, when I opened up the shipping wrap the oil filter was already out of the original box & not wrapped in anything; which allows debris into filter. I will be blowing it out w/ air before installing. But I would be more comfortable if it was actually wrapped in box.

> 24 hourAs per normal with K&N filters it’s super easy to use and has the nut on the end of the filter in case you need to get it off for the next oil change.

> 24 hourJust installed the K&N HP-1008 on my 2008 Infiniti EX35 AWD Journey 3.6L. This filter looks identical except for the top to the Nissan OEM 25308-65F0E. The filter seemed to pick up the threads but began hand tighten early. This filter requires a wrench so I used one completely tighten the filter. I then installed 5 quarts of oil. While still on the stands, I started the engine to circulate the oil. Within minutes the fleshly installed oil was running down my driveway. My neighbor noticed this and told me to shut off the engine. He took a look at this and said that the filter wasn’t seating properly. This is either a defect unit or not made for this engine. Installed a FRAM XG6607. Installed fresh oil, no leaks.
