I have been using KN FILTERS for my Chevy suburban and it’s defiantly a high quality filter with durable think walls which has a very high pressure sustainability (race proven) to prevent bursts/leaks. Very easy to remove using 1” socket - saves you time and from buying other tools! Also best part is comes wrapped in plastic so you know no metal shavings or foreign objects/dust is in the filter when you open it up! Also comes with a window sticker which is great! Trust your car/truck/suv to KN you won’t buy anything else. Five star - very solid product - highly recommend!!

Little pricey but is a good filter. Have seen the you tube videos where they cut different brand filters in hlaf and this one was tied with first on filter medium and construction. If you have vehicle where its darn near impossible to reach the filter body to install a wrench (of any kind) the built in 1 nut on the bottom of the filter is blessing.

Value for money..

I try to use K&N Gold exclusively because they consistently rank highest in tests; you show the gold in the photo but you shipped me the Performance filter. Still a good filter but not as good as the Gold; I used it anyway.

Have been an k&n fan for years. Unfortunately with my last purchase I discovered that they were now made in mexico. Which is fine. BUT the product felt lighter and was made of poor quality. Such discovery prompted research on the manufacturing location change which indicated this filter was an inferior product (due to the location change, of mexico) and is trying to maximize profits with a cheaper made product. I did not use this on my car and instead went with royal purple, which is of similar cost and is by far probably the best you can buy outside of fram ultra. Refer to BITOG.com UPDATE 12/19/2014 Despite my disgust with K&N moving their manufacturing i proceeded to use this filter as i had bought it & didnt want to deal with the return process. I coupled this filter with valvoline full synthetic. Approx 3mo 3000 mi later i notice a small oil leak from the undercarriage. Worst fear was a faulty oil pan & or gasket, Immediately i suspected the filter and i was right. The gasket was fine & intact, it was also plenty tight enough. For whatever reason it just refused to sit right & wanted to be a pain in my a$$.

First time using this brand for an oil filter. I purchased it because its an easy removal.

Although Amazon says it doesnt, it indeed does fit a 2009 - 2013 RAM 1500 5.7 HEMI, Ive used this filter for years with no issues! Trusted brand who could back up their products!

Great oil filter. Youre getting premium K&N performance and the convenience of the wrench-off style. I have a vehicle which makes reaching the oil filter with a traditional filter wrench quite a pain. Reaching up with a long socket or wrench is much easier. There isnt much to say here beyond that...it cleans the oil!
