I bought one of these with the sole purpose of making it a hypervisor/ESXi host. With a little ingenuity I accomplished my goal. Great machine that handles every virtual machine I throw at it. Hooray Intel for making this little gem!

A fantastic little machine so far and not only does it manage to deliver the good performance well but also in such a small form factor. This is my first experience with these types of mini PCs and I have to say, Im impressed.

This is a great new version little PC for everyday use, but not for gaming. Great PC. Its fast and response. Integrated Intel Iris graphics still suck for gaming. Even retro gaming. But for work it is very great.

Fast shipping, everything was in the box, just what I ordered, havent hooked up yet but Im sure its fine.

Update 7-30-22 I did confirm via Microsoft that it is a genuine license connected to my Microsoft account. I guess no sticker anymore. I was too attached to the idea. Pun intended. I liked my NUC 6i7 and have hopes for this unit. Seems a solid build and has a mammoth adapter. I will update my review in the future if I have concerns you might find helpful.

This review is for the Intel NUC 11, NUC11ATKC4 Barebone Mini PC with Celeron N5105 and no memory, storage or operating system. I selected the N5105 because it is 4-core processor and functions exceptionally well for low-end work on Windows 11. I needed a mini PC to run my smart home devices and security cameras and run an FTP server. I researched every N5105 mini PC option on Amazon in the under $250 price-range. Every other one is made by no-name brands with dubious quality and limited warranties and they generally use the slowest sub-optimal storage and memory components and often clunky cooling solutions. I wanted high quality components to suit my 24/7 operational requirements and found this barebones Intel NUC best suited my needs. Where other brands lock you in with non-upgradeable hardware, most everything in the NUC is standard fare of the highest order, e.g. NVMe storage, DDR4 SODIMM memory, M.2 WiFi card. This affords exceptional flexibility. I added 16 GB of G.Skill 3200 MHz DDR4, a 500GB Western Digital Gen 3 NVMe for storage, and a Windows license I transferred from an old decommissioned PC and upgraded to Windows 11 Pro for free. Because I shopped sales before Christmas I was all in for less than $245. Sure, I could have saved a few dollars on a no-name brand, but I would have sacrificed quality, performance, and a 3 year factory warranty from a top American company. If you can get a NUC on sale, dont hesitate.

Tired of running PLEX on windows so decided to buy a cheap machine to put Ubuntu 22.04 on that would HW transcode. This thing was oneseventy plus fifty for 8G dual channel ram and a 250G M.2 SSD. Runs like a dream and doesn’t crash like windows. Transcoding 4 streams simultaneous at less than 20% CPU utilization. Also loaded PiHole for Network wide Ad blocking and will probably add a few more appliance functions. Can’t say enough about this. It annihilates my NUC7i5 in PLEX and temp/noise. This thing is rock solid, cool, & SILENT. Set it and forget it. I did have to buy an HDMI dummy for threebucks to get RDP to work.

I purchased this PC and It ran every app we threw at it lightning fast.. It installed everything we needed for work.

Its a great small form factor computer. Vast improvements over the previous NUC 10 & NUC 11 regarding monitor support and connectivity. This unit is being used as a trading workstation (IB) on Windows 11 Pro (22H2) utilizing (2) 32 4K monitors and the performance is very good. Its populated with G.Skill 64 Gig RAM and a 1 TB PCIe NVME Samsung 980 Pro.
