Its the fastest for gaming, but intel needs to step up their game before AMD destroys them with 16 cores and 16 threads for 600 dollars eventually. AMD processors are giving Intel a run for their money. Intel, step up your game, or reduce your prices. I would only buy this on SALE and a good sale at that, but it is a good processor, just not worth the amount I paid for.

> 3 dayThis thing is an absolute beast and I haven’t even attempted to overclock it yet. Runs at specified clock out of the box. No issues with temps so far - currently using an NZXT AIO water cooler. If you’re going for a straight up gaming experience with maximum fps and don’t plan on streaming a ton or doing any video editing/3D rendering then this is your chip. If you ARE planning on streaming a LOT or are doing any of the above in addition to gaming I would highly recommend considering the new Ryzen 3000 series (3700x or 3800x) for more multi purpose rigs.
