So far this is a great monitor for the price. I like that there is no border around the screen so picture is as big as the monitor. The only thing I dont like is that I cant figure out how to adjust the brightness. No matter what I do it stays a little too bright. The font size is pretty small and I cant seem to get it to stay bigger when I enlarge it. Other than that Im really happy with it.

I was looking for a dual monitor setup for my new PC setup, and I had an old Acer monitor which had a resolution I wasnt happy with. I decided to search for a good monitor for a price I could have a budget for, yet enjoy. I found this excellent IPS monitor. This monitor arrived in a clean box, and had instructions provided to properly setup the monitor, with a clean sheet applied to the screen to prevent light damage to the screen in shipment. Upon opening, I noticed it came with a complimentary VGA cable (didnt use it, since I prefer HDMI). The monitor has two parts: a stand and the monitor itself. This was easy to set-up as well, and the sheet covering the monitor depicted the connections to build it clearly. After setting the monitor up, settings were easy to navigate and configure, and in seconds I was logging into Windows with a clear, crisp resolution which was much more pleasing to look at than my older Acer, which has light bleed and some funkier older pixels and colors. My monitor was clear of dead pixels, and was overall just as I needed for anything from browsing to gaming at a comfortable 80fps. I am in the process of purchasing another monitor to replace my older Acer. Thank you!

I am a university student majoring in statistics. I mainly do assignments with laptops or play online games. However, when I was watching a small monitor on my laptop for a long time, my eyes became very tired and I could not sit in front of my desk for a long time. Thus, I decided to buy this HP 21-inch monitor and connect to my laptop by using HDMI cable to alleviate my eye strain. As a consumer of this monitor for a month, I would like to review the product in three aspects: shipping, design and performance. Shipping First of all, I was very satisfied with the delivery status. I used to go shopping online, and sometimes I had to deal with the contents of the inside because of the bad shipping condition. However, this monitor has been shipped securely in a thick cardboard box. In addition, styrofoam and buffers were used to minimize damage to objects inside. The most important thing of this product, the LED monitor, was covered with thick acrylic to protect it safely. In addition, each monitor component was packaged individually. I have not abandoned shipping boxes and wrapping paper yet. I think it will be useful later when I have to move the monitor to other place. Design I did not have a big desk, but I always put a lot of books and notebooks on my desk. So I was worried that there would be a place to put this monitor on my desk. This 21-inch monitor was incredibly thin and lightweight and did not take up much of the desk. One drawback is that I cannot lean the monitor forward or lean backward. Still, this flat monitor is a well-designed monitor. Performance What I used to use was a Dell’s old monitor, which was not compatible with my new laptop and would show dead pixels. When I connected this new monitor with my laptop, it has a very clean picture quality and it showed Blu-ray movies without interruption. I was also able to customize brightness, contrast, color temperature, and usage mode. I mainly used basic mode, document, movie, and game. I changed the mode to suit each use, which made it more expressive and more usable. I have never felt uncomfortable using this monitor for about a month. I strongly recommend this product to users who use a small monitor and feel uncomfortable.

I bought this monitor in 2018. I mainly use it for content viewing and a second monitor for streaming. No dead pixels till this day of the review and arrived by amazon in great condition. The only problem is the lack of vesa mounting. You have to go somewhere else to find a vesa mount that fits the stock stand mount or make your own which I plan to do. Its wonderful for color accurate work with the IPS screen. My main monitor does not look as great as this one does color wise. The blacks are pretty dark for a non OLED screen. For those who read the previous reviews and know HP they are a terrible company. Some of the products from them are good. Majority can be found from a different brand like Asus or Acer which are made with higher quality.

Ordered this because I needed to quickly set up a remote work office due to the covid stay at home order and this was one of the only ones I could get quickly. Initially I had the same power issues others have talked about, or it was very touchy. Barely touch the cord and it would go off. Then I found out by accident that the transformer plug between outlet and monitor was not actually pushed in fully, though it sermed like it was. So if you are having this issue, give that plug an extra push; you may feel it go in deeper. Zero problems since discovering this! Been a great monitor for what I need (second screen paired with a laptop). Its not used for gaming - just standard office work.

Bought this for my computer for leasure activity and it was great for the price. But make sure your computer has the amount of necessary plugs for it. I had to buy a dongle for one of the monitors. The picture if good for gaming I can play steam on here with FarCry 4 and it look great havnt noticed any monitor lag. Same when I play minecraft. I would buy this for anyone who doesnt care about extreme monitor looks. I just needed something simple and so I got two. I plan to buy better ones in tbe future for my digital drawing but not till I save up alot and that wont be for awhile. My dad saw these and when I told him about my plans he already claimed them.

A good modern PC monitor at a good price. I chose this model for several reasons - full HD resolution, non touch-screen (meaning it will stay clean), 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, the black color (I dont care for white/silver electronics), perfect size for my deskspace, IPS, its reasonable sub 100$ tag, LED Backlighting, Energy Star Certified, and of course the HDMI port!! That was a must have feature for me, as my PC also sports HDMI. This replaced a 20 LCD monitor (VGA) I have had since 2007. What a great monitor this is! This is my first HP monitor and I must say I am impressed. I was surprised at how much lighter it is in comparison to my old monitor. Setup was easy just a few minutes. The HD picture quality of this using HDMI is so clear. I also dig the attractive slim (screen fronted) bezel design and thin side profile. Glad it doesnt have some light bleeding issues like Ive read some other monitors have. That would be unacceptable to me as I do also watch movies on it in a dark room. No dead or stuck pixels thankfully. A BIG thx to HP for putting a way to turn off the very bright power button in the settings. It does suck that HP includes an (outdated) VGA cable and not an HDMI -dont be so cheap HP -spend the additional 20 cents for bulk HDMIs. Sure you can spend more $$ and go bigger (albeit w no resolution increase), however for the price you cant go wrong w the 22. I would recommend it. 5 stars baby! Thx also to amazon for the free fast shipping

Crisp and vibrant display! Really fits the budget and delivers better than expected quality. Colors are clear and precise; watching videos is a lot more enjoyable with this monitor (especially videos of the 60fps type). I bought one of these monitors for my main computer and it was so good, I bought a second one for a computer in my shop. I plan to buy a third one here soon for a dual display on my shop computer. HP did a good job with this monitor. Installation of the stand is a breeze and you cant mess it up as the mounting spokes are made to fit only one size of the monitor so there is no guessing, just plug and play. Ports on the back are 1 power supply (included) 1 VGA cable connection and 1 HDMI. *NOTE: ONLY a VGA cable comes with the package, HDMI will have to be purchased separately. Other than that, great purchase, will definitely buy more of these bad boys. *UPDATE 23SEP2018: Monitors are functioning 100% as day 1. Other users are reporting problems or defects, I still have not had anything happen to me like they said happened to them. I am about to buy another one. The day these problems arise, I will update my review but as of now, everything is great! *UPDATE 12/12/2018 Monitors are fully operational and function as they did one day 1. Still impressed and satisfied with the quality of these monitors. I have a total of 3 and I am about to buy a 4th one right now.

I really like this monitor! Assembly was simple and easy. I like the fact that the power supply is not enclosed in to the monitor body. That allows the monitor to run cool and makes it easier to move it around. There are certain things that look much better on a photograph then they are in a real life. This monitor is not one of them. It is every bit as elegant as the best photo! I was a bit concerned that the stand may be flimsy but it is absolutely adequate and a very beautiful at the same time. This is my first monitor using an HDMI cable and I was really pleasantly surprised how easy it was to connect. If there is any room for criticism, it is regarding the manual. I am using Win 10 and at one point you are advised to go to HP support page and check for the newest software. When you get there, if you are not very careful, you may miss the warning that if you are using Win 10 and install the newest software version, you may use some functionality.. I did not bother to explore it further but kept the drivers that came on the CD. The colours are very nice and crisp and if you have a limited space available, this monitor is hard to beat.!

Experience content on a multi-functional monitor with the best specs at the right price. The HP Pavilion 22cwa 21.5” Full HD display with an IPS panel is versatile for gaming with vivid colors and provides 178-degree viewing for the best quality from any position. A VGA cable is included for your convenience and an HDMI port can turn any desk into a multi-display setup. Get trusted HP performance for your home or office.
