I like it and ive used it in the past but i don’t know why i feel like i got a used one.. also theres like a matte plastic piece on the screen that bubbles in the corner but i dont think you’re supposed to take it off. Other than that its good for work use

Been using this bad boy for a couple months now and I have to say for the money you will not find a better overall monitor. I play a lot of online games, some with fast reaction times like CS:GO and Warframe and even though this has a slightly slower response time of 8ms compared to non-IPS panels in the same price bracket, I noticed no ghosting or clipping while playing. The ms rating is pretty vague anyway as the processing between the panel and your video card have a lot to do with latency. The color is pretty good, nice and vivid with an excellent viewing angle, which is a key hallmark of an IPS panel. The brightness and contrast are more than acceptable as well. Blacks have a little bit of back light bleed through, but at this price point its not enough to complain about. On the hardware of the panel itself, its quite lovely to look at. Its slim with a nice thin bezel and an interesting base. Be aware however there are no vertical adjustments and there is about half an inch around the edge of the bezel that the screen does not extend to. It took me a while to adjust this as I kept wanting the image to go all the way to the edge, but after a while you dont notice it anymore. Overall this monitor is excellent for $100 (or less if you catch it on sale). Unless you get an incredible deal you wont find a competing panel at this price.

Im writing this review using this monitor. It works just fine. You have to finish constructing the monitor onto its stand. And, the manufacturers image that shows on Amazon indicates the package includes a HDMI Cable. It in fact, does not. It only includes a VGA Cable. The monitor is capable of supporting either; which is nice. There is a little wear on the monitor on the top corners... The screen itself; not the casing...very tiny dots that most people might not notice. The monitor itself is great for the price. It does allow you to tilt it at different angles. However, you cannot raise or lower it...I mean, you could, with the help of a book or box or something to sit it on. But, the fact you cant adjust the height hasnt caused me an issue. It also has a choice of picture settings. You can adjust the monitor picture settings to what you need for optimal viewing for any room or lighting. It defaults to a picture setting labeled Low Blue Light; this setting seems fine for regular computer work. I have ordered a second one of these to extend my desktop to two monitors; I did have to purchase a USB multi-monitor adapter for this which is normal if your PC doesnt already have the multi-monitor capability.

Cant beat it at this price point! The monitor works well. Does what its supposed to and designed to. This is not a gaming display with fast refresh rates and super black blacks. Its a desktop monitor. I plugged it in and my old computer recognized it and it all self-adjusted on reboot. Ill update if needed when I put it on my new i7, ssd m.2 3.0 build. I expect it will be fine. Im currently using the vga cable but my new build doesnt have a vga output. Ill be using the hdmi. I take 1 star off because of HP. They are nearly the worst at hiding bloat and spyware in their driver disks. For the novice computer user, you dont know until 3 months later when your system barely runs because HP spyware has zapped all your systems resources. Fortunately, with a monitor, theres no need to use their driver disk.

Honestly this is a great monitor for gaming. My other monitor was a bit bigger which made it harder to game, therefore I wanted to down size a bit to see if there would be a difference which is was! Great purchase! It’s not a bad price as well. The only thing is that it says it can adjust the screen but I’m too scared to move it around since it’s not budging. But either way there’s no need for me to move this one around. And it also has a very slim look which is great! In love and will be purchasing more in the future! Took a picture how it looks with the lights on, and off. Brightness is still great!

I found this monitor to have great picture and graphics for documents, pictures and website. It also is a decent size for a monitor. Not too big or small. I dont game but my daughter who is a gamer recommended this monitor which was recommended by her gamer friends. I do question the sense of sending a installation disk when most computers dont have a disk drive.

This is a great monitor for anyone that in need of a second display to work from home, or for any student looking to improve their productivity while doing homework. I bought this monitor for those exact purposes; so far, I have found this monitor to have excellent build quality, superb display capabilities, and connectivity that is very user friendly. Build Quality This monitor has excellent build quality. From the stand to the monitor itself, it looks and feels like high quality materials were very important to the team that designed it. Assembly required no hardware, and consisted of putting the (two piece) stand together and attaching that to the display. The stand is not height adjustable, but that isn’t really a problem because it already puts the monitor at a comfortable viewing height. Even though the stand design is very simplistic you have no need to worry about the display falling or tipping over. This monitor was definitely built to last. Display As stated in the product overview this monitor has a 1920x1080 resolution, which is by no means stunning, but it is still capable of displaying pictures and video in HD. What is really cool about this monitor is what HP calls, IPS technology. Basically, the technology enables the display to have stunning 178° viewing angle while still being able to view high quality colors. That way you can show a group of people what you’re doing on your screen, in high quality, without them having to breathe down your neck. One thing missing from this monitor are integrated speakers, but at this price point you aren’t going to find many, if any at all, that do. Plus, if you are buying this monitor for the same purpose I did you should already have integrated speakers in your laptop. Connectivity Connectivity and power for this monitor are very simple and versatile. The power cord is standard to that of most electronic devices, and plugs into the back of the monitor. This monitor has the capability to connect to other displays with either VGA or HDMI. It comes with a VGA cable, but my laptop only has HDMI capabilities. Luckily you can pick up and HDMI Cable for about five to ten dollars at a place like Walmart or Target. Plus, if you’re like me now you have an extra VGA cable to carry around if the time ever comes that you may need one. Conclusion For the price, this monitor has to be one of the best deals you can find out there. With easy assembly, excellent build quality, a cutting-edge display, and versatile connectivity, there really isn’t much more you can ask for. I bought this monitor in 2018. I mainly use it for content viewing and a second monitor for streaming. No dead pixels till this day of the review and arrived by amazon in great condition. The only problem is the lack of vesa mounting. You have to go somewhere else to find a vesa mount that fits the stock stand mount or make your own which I plan to do. Its wonderful for color accurate work with the IPS screen. My main monitor does not look as great as this one does color wise. The blacks are pretty dark for a non OLED screen. For those who read the previous reviews and know HP they are a terrible company. Some of the products from them are good. Majority can be found from a different brand like Asus or Acer which are made with higher quality.

Love this monitor. I purchased it for working from home, Ive found that the resolution, brightness, and picture quality are phenomenal. The HDMI connection is virtually instantaneous when I turn on my laptop. My only gripe is that it doesnt always shut off when I put my laptop to sleep, but the power button is super convenient and reliable so its not really an issue. Would definitely recommend, especially for the price.

I acquired this monitor as I was tired of moving documents around on only one computer screen. It was getting crowded and difficult to see which document I was working on at one time. After removing the monitor our of the box and putting it together (stand and monitor), I discovered that the monitor tilts front to back (forgot about that from product description). Then connected BOTH monitors to my computer. The HDMI picture quality to this monitor was outstanding. If I had known realized how excellent an HDMI picture is on a computer monitor, I would of purchased two of them and got rid of my current Samsung monitor altogether (it is not an HDMI monitor and I am spoiled). The only problem I had with the monitor (as stated the picture was outstanding, colors are excellent), was figuring out how to set up Win 10 with dual monitors. Looking back it was funny trying to figure out which setting to use and how the mouse moves from one monitor to the other. Once that was figured out I highly recommend this monitor to anyone (especially dual monitors). Its an excellent monitor for the price. I did purchase the extended protection plan (or whatever its called on Amazon) only because no matter what electronic device I but, as I tell everyone: Technology is ONLY perfect in the movies, in real life...protection plans are the way to go. The monitor is excellent with my HP computer that I also purchased at Amazon, but still have not done a review (Amazon, please be patient).
