I needed a second monitor but could not afford a Mac monitor. I read all the reviews of this HP, and I knew I was going to get what I paid for. Actually I like the monitor because its the perfect size for my small studio, office. It is easier for me to edit my videos on, and works great when I use my MacBook Pro as a clam shell. Although HP says its not compatible with the Mac, it works fine for me. The only thing I did have to learn was to do a power refresh from time to time. The screen went black so I called Amazon customer support and they were fantastic. The gal explain to me exactly what I have to do if this happens again, it did and I did what she said and my monitor works great. The HP website upset me because it stated the incompatibility to Mac, but I have overcome that. Great value for the money, Which for so many is tight.

A good modern PC monitor at a good price. I chose this model for several reasons - full HD resolution, non touch-screen (meaning it will stay clean), 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, the black color (I dont care for white/silver electronics), perfect size for my deskspace, IPS, its reasonable sub 100$ tag, LED Backlighting, Energy Star Certified, and of course the HDMI port!! That was a must have feature for me, as my PC also sports HDMI. This replaced a 20 LCD monitor (VGA) I have had since 2007. What a great monitor this is! This is my first HP monitor and I must say I am impressed. I was surprised at how much lighter it is in comparison to my old monitor. Setup was easy just a few minutes. The HD picture quality of this using HDMI is so clear. I also dig the attractive slim (screen fronted) bezel design and thin side profile. Glad it doesnt have some light bleeding issues like Ive read some other monitors have. That would be unacceptable to me as I do also watch movies on it in a dark room. No dead or stuck pixels thankfully. A BIG thx to HP for putting a way to turn off the very bright power button in the settings. It does suck that HP includes an (outdated) VGA cable and not an HDMI -dont be so cheap HP -spend the additional 20 cents for bulk HDMIs. Sure you can spend more $$ and go bigger (albeit w no resolution increase), however for the price you cant go wrong w the 22. I would recommend it. 5 stars baby! Thx also to amazon for the free fast shipping

I heard a lot of negatives about this value monitor before I purchased it. With that said, it has been going for 4 years and 3 months without any problems. I have two of them. I use them every single day. They are on for about 16 hours a day. I only shut it off when I sleep. Now I plan to buy another two for another office that I am setting up. Considering bang for your buck, I highly recommend!

Ill get the easy stuff out of the way first: the monitor itself is pretty good. Colors are relatively accurate, screen quality is solid and its specifications are reasonable. At this price point, you cant do much better. Where the monitor suffers is in its construction. I have purchased two of these monitors in the past and both came with construction issues. In the first case, the monitor would not lock into its base due to a misalignment. Even with minimal movement of the table it was on---due to shaking, slight bumps, etc---the monitor would slowly dislodge itself. Recently, I bumped into the table a bit harder than normal; you can probably guess what happened next. Bye-bye monitor. The other monitor I also had on the table? Unaffected. It was a direct result of its inability to properly lodge into its base. In the second case, the monitors base was uneven, so it created a similar problem. Thankfully, despite a few shakes and slight bumps, this monitor has held its ground. Still, I feel like its only a matter of time before it too falls to its death with relatively little force. Without these construction issues, I would buy another one of these monitors in a heartbeat. But as it currently stands, Im hesitant to buy a third due to what Ive experienced thus far. Ultimately, however, I have to acknowledge that it was my fault for not having returned these poorly-constructed monitors when I first received them and recognized their issues. Had they not been monitors (ie, rather large and fragile objects), I would have most certainly returned them as I have done with other Amazon purchases in the past. If the manufacturer of these monitors happens to come across this review, please take better care during the construction process. I understand that no item will be routinely perfect in its construction, but it is the one thing holding this product back in my eyes.

The monitor has excellent clarity, brightness, etc. The size is just right for my needs, big enough to read but not so big it takes up a lot of desk space. The resolution is what I need it to be. There are two things I dont like about it. Firstly, the monitor attaches to the base which then rests on the desk. There is something about this construction which causes the monitor to ever-so-slightly bounce when I type. It becomes more noticeable if I bump the desk. Im not saying it is loose and all over the place, but it does move, just a little, but enough to catch my attention from time to time. I wish it were a bit more sturdy in that respect. My other monitors do not do this. The second thing is not the monitors fault, its my own for not more carefully reading the specs, but I wish this monitor also had a DVI port. It has the vintage analog VGA port and an HDMI port. While HDMI is the darling of electronics and a good choice for a digital port due to its ubiquity for many computers, laptops, and consumer electronics, an optional DVI port would be a great addition. I have a device that is DVI-only, so Ive resorted to Plan B for that one. Oh well. Still, all in all Im very pleased with it.

Its been some time since I got it so I can confidently say I like the size and design. It can be tilted. A useful addition to my home office.

Love the monitor, hate that I saw it had multiple connectivity options, including HDMI but not that is DOESNT include the HDMI cable. Bought this for a 3rd monitor and now have to wait again while I wait for the cable to arrive.

I almost returned these because I needed monitors that went onto my stand (limited space) and I didnt think to check that they wouldnt work with a monitor stand. I ordered the Wali Versa Mount Adaptor Bracket for CWA22 from Amazon and they work fine now. when you go to install the brackets you will see the little plug that you will need to remove with tweezers so the screw can go in.

My monitor was delivered with care. I bought this monitor because I work from home and needed a second screen. When it arrived I was surprised because it’s bigger than I thought it would be. Easy instructions, easy to put together. I was hesitant to buy looking at older reviews but I’m glad I went with my first mind because honestly you can’t beat the price and it is great quality. It is a brand new monitor not used. Please pay attention to newer reviews.
