Lets start with the pros! -The size is good, I think it looks pretty, its clear, has decently good speakers, can be turnt sideways, and is decent for gaming. I bought this primarily as a budget gaming monitor and to use it while Im streaming games on Twitch. -Not too expensive -Nice looking stand Cons -Whenever I play any dark game like Skyrim, or see a dark loading screen from a game, I unfortunately see yellow bleeding on the sides. Its been there since Day 1. I most likely will exchange it for a new one if I can find a solution for my second issue. I really needed a monitor for streaming, so I dont have time to go days without a monitor again. This monitor does have a warranty, so Ill have to contact HP at some point if it really starts to bug me while playing games like Skyrim. -I cannot connect my Nintendo Wii. Ive tried contacting HP support but no one knows the answer so far and I get an error every time I plug in my Wii saying that I need to change the mode when there is no option to change the mode. I was really looking forward to streaming switch and Wii games but I havent found a solution for the Wii games yet although Switch games are fine... if I dont, I may have to get a BENQ or some other type of gaming monitor that is more compatible with different gaming systems. **EDIT: I had to change my Wii settings from 480i to 480p and it works now! & Now I have two monitors and put them on a VESA dual mount! Besides that, its great! The height adjustment is AMAZING, I LOVE that it has speakers, and it has the ports that I need! Another HDMI would be nice, but its okay. This monitor was really easy to setup and has a really good picture! Very satisifed

I had many monitors over the years, and recently Ive found that HP is making the best quality monitors for the price. I bought this one for my wifes online classes and she loves it. It is big enough for viewing a lot at the same time, but also small enough that she can move it around the house and use it on any table. I definitely recommend it.

I believe this monitor model precedes the Windows 11 launch. It worked very well with my Dell business lap-top running Windows 10: great picture, adjustable stand. However, when connecting to my home Dell PC running Windows 11, my desktop functionality was limited. I had all of my desktop short-cuts and they worked, but all of the icons and functionality on the lower taskbar were missing, including the Start button. There were other issues also. I checked the HP website for any monitor drivers and found that none were available for Windows 11 (only Windows 10) with a note that if the OS driver was not available, then the monitor may not be compatible. I then switched back to the old monitor, re-booted, and the same errors occurred and appeared to be permanent. Possibly, the monitor installed some plug and play software that corrupted the Windows 11 files. This was the conclusion reached by the Dell techs helping. After a couple hours of troubleshooting, we had to re-install Windows 11 to get it back working. Ive returned the monitor and am looking for a newer model.

Im very happy with this monitor. I was able to try it out at a former employers office. At home, I had a larger monitor and unfortunately, larger isnt always better. I like this size of this display. My monitor is only about 24 away from my face and I have decent vision with diminishing reading vision. Looking at a larger monitor was more than annoying, it just wasnt good to use and it made me not want to use my home computer. Using this monitor at 1920 x 1080 (recommended for this screen), and having the magnification set to 100% (Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display = smaller) is great! I dont do gaming and I havent used the internal speakers. Cant rate those. I sometimes change the color settings to help minimize the impact on viewing screens late at night (Warm, Neutral, Cool, Low Blue Light, Night, Reading, HP Enhance +, or Custom RGB). This is helpful. I am able to tilt the screen down and up with ease. And the rotate to portrait is great (raise display to highest settings and tilt back to clear the desk), but my old laptop cant change the settings to view in portrait. I recommend this monitor. Its great that it can also go on a stand that holds double screens. And with the very thin left and right frame sides, it would be a great monitor to use 2 or 3 side-by-side.

Bought this monitor to go side by side with my Samsung 27 (which Ive had for over 7 years). Color was beautiful, read review on how to change from default 60 hz refresh rate to 75 hz and all was well until I reached up to tilt it from the top: BEWARE there is almost NO bevel at the top and edges and touching the screen it broke (sent lines across top and down the center). I had only had it for 26 days. Called Amazon and they said to call HP since it was within the 30 days. HP rep said broken screen was not covered and offered to send me a replacement for the exact price as on Amazon (new) and take 8-10 days to get it to me, PLUS return broken one at my own expense. Thanks, but NO thanks. Called Amazon back on day 30 and told them what HP said and they offered a full refund or replacement with 2-day shipping. They asked me to return the broken one at their cost. The entire phone conversation took 15 minutes. This is why I am still a Prime customer after almost 20 years. They know how to treat customers. This is a fabulous screen for the price and I could find no others on Amazon in this price range with speakers and 75 hz RR. I did take the replacement, which was here as promised 2 days later and returned the broken one the next day. Just be careful and only hold the screen on the back and bottom, beveled-edge as the least amount of pressure will crack the screen and that is not covered with Amazons extra warranty through Assurion nor will HP cover it.

I found this monitor to be well made and easy to setup. I am using the hdmi connection for video and sound.

Everything is great including the built-in speaker but there are few lighting spots on the bottom of the screen which are annoying noticeable when using dark theme and watching movies/videos.

Like many people, my wife has been working at home during the pandemic. Shes got a nice ThinkPad and I provided her with a Shure MV51 microphone to give her that big radio voice in Zoom meetings, and a USB Docking station (Plugable brand) which as the capability of dual 4K monitors, so I decided to buy this HP monitor to compliment the 10 year old 22 ASUS HDMI monitor she had been using. Well, I was totally blown away at how monitor technology has advanced. The resolution on the monitors is the same (1080p) but if you click on the photo, youll see that the black levels on the new monitor just blow the old one away. This is the reason why Plasma displays dominated high end TV for a while because LCD displays could not deliver the contrast ratios for home theater. Granted, if youre just working on an Excel spreadsheet, reading email or in a Zoom meeting, the difference doesnt matter much. But if you want to take a lunch break and watch a 20 minute episode of your favorite TV show on Hulu, the difference is obvious. I did not give this a rating for gaming, as this wasnt tested and its not a gaming monitor to begin with. Another nice feature is that it is height adjustable, so no more putting your monitor on a stack of books to raise it a couple of inches. I does have speakers that play through the HDMI input, but they are not as loud as a typical phone. The speakers are good enough for viewing a video or doing a Zoom meeting in a quiet environment, but thats about it. Because the border around the screen is so thin, expect any webcam to intrude a little on the top of the screen. It also uses a standard PC power cord and not a wall wart power supply. Many new monitors are moving towards this and I dont know if it is a blessing or a curse. The upside is that you can use a standard power cord and not have an external power power supply hanging under your desk. The downside is that if the power supply carps out, you cant replace it - you have it repaired (highly unlikely these days) or replace the entire monitor.
