Decent monitor for the money. Does everything it is supposed to. In my opinion it is a pretty good deal, especially since it comes with the height adjust stand with rotation. The colors are fairly vibrant and the display is bright, which I like. The only problem I have with this display is the quality of the LCD panel. Out of the box, mine had a noticeable bright-spot on right of the display. Annoying, but not intolerable. Additionally, the coating on the display is very good at picking up reflections. I would not recommend using this in a bright, sunny room. Some light is fine, but bright light sources (like the sun or a nearby lamp) will reflect annoyingly well. Finally, this display has fairly poor blacks. My other display (an Acer B243HL, which is too old to even have HDMI) has better blacks, which is disappointing. Overall, a good display for the money. Not ideal for fancy-pants professional work where colors need to be spot on, but no one doing that stuff would buy a $150 monitor. But it is more than capable at completing everyday tasks, so I would say it is fine.

I am not one to need 27” or 32” monitors. Two of these give me plenty of room to do not only all the ordinary things like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentations, but also edit photos in Photoshop and do book layouts in InDesign. They have great resolution and excellent color rendition. As my go-to computer for pretty much everything, I also use it for Zoom meetings. Here is the only flaw in these monitors. They have built-in speakers which work okay but I often need to use a headset. My mini desktop doesn’t have a 3.5 mm jack so when I saw that the monitors do, I figured “great!” I can use the speakers when I want and plug my headphones in when I need to. Only after I set them up did I discover the 3.5 mm jack is an input, not an output! What a dumb idea. You’re much more likely to want to use that jack for headphones, not an input. So at the very least you should include both ports. I had to use one of the USB ports on my computer to plug in a separate 3.5 mm adapter. As a former 25-year HP employee, I’m disappointed to see engineering teams similar to those I used to manage making this kind of mistake. (And yes, you can put part of the blame on me for not reading the specs more closely.)

Honestly the only reason im writing this review is to share how helpful the helpline was at well.... helping. Had this guy as a secondary display for about 2-3 weeks and it worked perfectly. Unfortunately today as i turned it on, the screen remained black and buttons stopped working. I switched the display type from HDMI to display port and it still didnt work. I updated my driver, and did about everything possible to trouble shoot it but it was simply unresponsive. After reaching out to the helpline, they immediately thought of other ways to trouble shoot it and even set up a video chat so they could visibly see the issue. After a few more attempts there was no luck, and the display was simply bricked. The part i appreciate is that the dude was not only very very helpful and chill, but they are sending me a new monitor immediately. That whole process, plus the fact that it does exactly what is expected when working is why i gave 5 stars.

Another reviewer mentioned a way to increase the volume on the built in speakers (as the factory default setting is set at only 50%) and mentioned monitor management. For the life of me, I could not find this option in Windows 10. I was getting ready to return the monitor but just for kicks, I decided to look at the Users Manual. (who reads these things these days anyway, especially for a monitor?). Lo and behold, there are actual physical buttons hidden away on the bottom right corner of the monitor that activates the monitor management function that is independent of the Computer Operating System. Press the one on the far left to get into this mode (see second photo). From here you can get into various modes one of which is to change the default volume setting. See attached photos. I hope this will save others who are puzzled as to why in the heck is the volume so low from the monitor speakers.

Just got the HP 24mh yesterday, but it has impressed me so much I had to give a review now, but will edit if I run into any problems later. Very nice picture quality, and there are a lot of adjustments that can be made to make it more to your liking. The stand is awesome, best monitor stand Ive ever had. My last two monitors have been Asus, and was planning on getting another Asus, but I seen so many people saying how much they liked this HP, thought Id give it a try. My last monitor was a Asus vs239h-P 23 60mhz., which was a fine monitor and served me well, but was wanting something a little bigger with a 75mhz. refresh rate, and with a Displayport connector. I like the picture quality better on the HP 24mh than the Asus vs239h-P. I dont game much, but I tried a few gams, and it looked good to me, but Im sure a serious gamer would want something with higher refresh rates. They have a driver you can download for the HP 24mh at HPs website. Highly recommended! update: This is really an amazing monitor. If I get the settings just right and have a great source I can see images with this like Ive never seen before. Its that good! My past two Asus monitors were great for reliability, one I used for 4 years, and the one before that Ive had for 10 years, and still use it as a backup. Just hope the HP 24mh is this reliable. update: The built in speakers do a good job, not good for listening to music, but I never use a monitors built in speakers. Update 2-8-2023: Still a great monitor, and very glad I purchased it. For a great 1080p monitor look no further.

Bought this to use as a monitor for my 2017 MacBook Air as the 13 screen was starting to strain my eyes. For some context, Im a student and my primary use for the screen is to read read read and take lots of notes. Ive read a few reviews about issues with the resolution from a mac to this screen, and the surefire way to make sure none of those issues happen is to buy a thunderbolt to hdmi cable - I bought one from amazon basics a couple years ago and it works seamlessly - edge to edge display and full resolution. Its not a 4k monitor or anything but with how big it is and how far back you sit, its all the same in terms of crisp, clear picture. I dont use my computer for gaming really so I cannot comment on the graphics/resolution for that purpose - but for your basic office or school work - its perfect. Not sure what a solution would be for newer mac models that have only the usb-c output. Also, this was bought in Feb 2021 and it seems like the latest model comes with built in speakers, has a tilt feature, and vertical sliding to adjust the height. For this price, I think the value is unbeatable. The only downside is that there seems to be no external volume control, but I have my bluetooth headphones in most of the time anyway so it doesnt matter. It also comes with an aux cord to connect to external speakers, and a regular hdmi cable. If youre hesitating on this product, theres a reason its the #1 seller on computer monitors on amazon!
