My old display died yesterday. This display was the right price for the right features and available in one day by Amazon Prime. I recommend getting the instructions from HP online as the one-sheet instructions with pictures only is severely lacking. The only issue I had was with the audio. It comes with a audio cable with phone plugs on each end. If you use this in conjunction with HDMI, you get no sound. I found nothing that specifically said that in the instructions, but while trying to figure out why the built-in speakers werent working, I unplugged the audio cable and immediately the sound worked. It seems the HDMI cables carry the sound and the audio cable is not only not required, but blocks the audio signal. HP should update their instructions to make that clear.

I like this monitor. I love the height adjustment! It will be so much nicer than bending my neck to look down at my all-in-one. Hard to find a height adjustable monitor at this price. I did have a bit of trouble getting the operating manual. Spent way too much time looking for a manual for this model on the HP website. FINALLY noticed Get Product Support on the order details page. I soon talked with a very nice human being who sent me a cut and paste address for the manual. Unfortunately, I havent gotten to use it much, other than to check screen quality. I ordered an HP desktop from another vendor at the same time. In my quest to get some questions answered about the computer, I found that HP had no record of the computers serial number. After some googling, I found that is a thing with HP. They dont have a very reliable system for keeping track of their serial numbers. AND, if you have no serial number, there is no way to communicate with HP. Plus, you have no warrantee. Many people find out they have no valid serial number too late. Even the tech guy at the store where I bought the computer had had the same problem. He spent months (in vain) trying to get satisfaction from HP. I am still looking for a NON HP desktop.

Needed a separate monitor for my laptop after taking a new phone job from home. There is no way to be ergonomically correct with a laptop. I was straining my neck and aggravating sciatica. This is a lovely monitor for what I need (scheduling). Not sure about gaming applications as I am not into that. This monitor also has a great, solid adjustable height and angle stand. Fully adjustable brightness and contrast. Love it for the price. Guessing this isn’t highest resolution but not needed for my application. My ipad pro has better and cleaner resolution but even the 12 inch was a bit small for my eyes. I probably need bifocals instead of reading glasses…but this is working for me. Can’t beat the price, either. Love the big screen and it connects well with my HP Pavilion laptop. Saved me from buying another computer.

This HP 24mh monitor has a clear, crisp display and is the perfect size for desktop use (not too big, not too small). It accepts both HDMI and DisplayPort inputs (and even VGA for old school PCs). While Windows will select 60Hz refresh rate by default, you can go into Windows display settings and select 75Hz refresh rate for this monitor. The 75Hz refresh rate really does help smooth out motion. You should also go into the monitors Image menu setting and set Response Time to Level 3 which provides the best VSYNC performance. One of the best features that places this monitor above and beyond its price range is the 90-degree rotating screen, height adjustment, and swiveling base. The stand is rock-solid without any wobble. The speakers are just fine once you discover the menu control I explain below: HOW TO FIX LOW VOLUME SOUND: The built-in speakers are better than some reviewers indicate. I believe most people dont discover that the monitor menu has its own volume control thats set to 50% volume by factory default. If you just connect this monitor to the PC youll automatically get sound through the HP speakers via HDMI or DisplayPort (you only have to use the separate audio cable when using the VGA input). But no matter how high you turn up your PC volume control, youll only get 50% volume from the monitors speakers which is why people complain about low volume. To fix this, all you need to do is go to the Management tab of the monitor menu, select Audio, and then turn up the volume control from 50 (default) to 100 and youll find the monitor speakers are plenty loud. After that, youll only have to use your PC volume control as normal. This is a great quality monitor with features beyond its price range. Fantastic value, HP! ADDITIONAL NOTE: HP sells an identical monitor to the HP 24mh under the model P24h. The only difference is that the P24h has a black plastic logo strip along the bottom instead of silver like the 24mh. Everything else is identical (specs, speakers, height adjustable stand, etc.) plus the P24h comes with both an HDMI cable and a DisplayPort cable.

An excellent monitor with a minimal bezel at a good price. The directions to the user were rather confusing, saying that you needed to download a driver that, in actuality, is not needed and does not exist!

Its fine on its own but as a second screen it is hard to focus on for me. The text is smudged and stretched compared to the laptop screen even after changing to similar resolutions. Just not as clear quality as I was hoping for. Really like the stand with the height change and tilt though.

The HP 24mh FHD Monitor has all the style and performance you need in a monitor without breaking the bank. Experience more desk space than you thought possible with this height-adjustable ultra-slim HP monitor. The attractive, micro-edge design adds stylish beauty to any environment, be it your desk or living room. Seeing is believing as this Full HD display gives you IPS technology and ultra-wide viewing angles that combine to give you an amazing view at up to 178°.
