Like brand quality, how it works and spreads. I close container tightly, wrap in plastic wrap and put in a zip lock bag. Nothing worse than needing a product, and finding it is dryed out. I also keep all putty, paint ect inside house during winter.

I didn’t like it much, it doesn’t really dry properly. After a while it’s like sand and it can be easily removed.

I bought this filler because I wanted to fill in holes in the wood of the window frames and wardrobe doors of our rental before we paint it. This wood filler was really easy to use and apply and dried up fast and was easy to paint over. It helped me restore the wood frames and they look now smooth and nice. I will certainly use it on the future.

Works just like wood, filled the holes fine , and sanded down with little effort

Thus product has grit in it, like sand, it shrinks when drying. So filling holes in drawer fronts was a lot if extra work. Had to fill 2x and and each time. Inconsistent, air holes and shrinkage. I had 8 drawers to fill holes on and it took me much longer because of the product. I still didn’t end up with a smooth defect free finish. I was under time crunch, and this became a frustrating issue. I ordered powdered wood fill; So I can control consistency and get a smooth finish. I also tried wood putty powder on next project and seemed to act like drywall mud, did end up building it up and was able to sand perfectly even. Probably needed to be primed, even with chalk paint. Didnt crack or shrink, though, as was promised.

It works well as wood putty goes, but nearly twice as much than preferred brand I was out of. Lower ratings related to cost. Positive note, it wasn’t noticeably different than previous brand used. If you need wood putty for a project, this works ok, but price for quantity isn’t worth it for bigger projects. :(

Exposed screw heads are unsightly and allow moisture penetration over time on exposed wood surfaces. Treated wood is no exception other than its resilience over time to decay over that of untreated. It was with that in mind that when replacing hand rails and decking, all horizontal surfaces were installed with either edge retention or in the case of this review, the screw heads covered with this product. So far, the Gorilla brand filler has performed as advertised. It fills and sand’s uniformly to a nice smooth surface that goes mostly unnoticeable to the surrounding wood. So far Im really liking this filler. Historically, filler will harden if you didnt use it all. You can add a slight amount of water to gorilla filler and it returns to its useable consistency. Just stir it up. Now the most important thing for me was how the filler reacted to rain. As the drying process for treated wood requires some patience, all the filling and sanding was performed to prepare for staining. It Rained during the waiting period. The filler did not wash out after a full night of rain. Will update this review with images in the coming weeks after staining to demonstrate the fillers ability to take stain or if it will spot compared to the surrounding wood.

This woodfiller states that it is paintable or stainable.. This product is easy to work with and it paints easily but it will not take stain. We were going to stain the floor but since the wood filler would NOT take the stain we painted instead.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do, easy to sand and looks great after painting
