Fried Green Tomatoes

I can`t use it.

Being born and raised in a small town in Alabama where having fried green tomatoes for our Sunday Supper was as religious as having gone to church, this movie was both a trip back to my past and a wish I could go home again. Ill certainly watch it over and over! People in Denver never even heard of GRITS much less fried green tomatoes! LOL

I was not happy that this dvd did not come with a box when clearly it is advertised with one. This was a Christmas gift good thing I have a copy and am useing the box from that

After a somewhat slow beginning, was shocked out of my complacency by the drama that enfolded, became intrigued with the complicated relationships then became fascinated by the switching back from the then to now and back again throughout the movie. The characters were rich, complicated, with hints of there being more than first meets the eye. Feel all the better for having watched this movie because of the other stories it told as well. Stories about women, ageing, caring for someone other than yourself, giving of yourself, male/female relationships, racial tensions, story telling at its best.

The answers to all the problems of the universe are all in this movie...every last one.
