Greater than one weekReally impressive. Easy to use for my 75 year old parents, excellent quality, and the AI in the camera allows them all to be in the room and get on screen! Love it

> 3 dayThe Video conferencing is the only reason Im giving this one star otherwise this doesnt even worth the one star, Im upset of it because it lacks a lot of a very basic functionalities that are available on similar products, I use the echo show 2 all the time, and this device cant do 90% of what the echo show 2 can do. How could it be better? well the number one thing that I need to be able to use it is keyboard/mouse support. You can browse the web on this device, but with the touch screen its very annoying with the onscreen keyboard. Apps, very limited apps, not even a Facebook app, come on! Its totally locked, so you cant add apps from other sources. You cant do anything with the Camera, its only for calling someone on your Facebook friends list who also have to be on a mobile device or another portal, you cant communicate with a guy using Facebook from a laptop for example. You cant stream, take a picture, or use it as a mirror, because theres not camera app even. and the price, I got it on discount and Id kill my self if Ive bought it retail because it totally doesnt worth it. So again if you only want to video call someone who happen to have a portal, then this might be a good device for you if you intended to do a lot of video calls other wise dont bother.

23-09-2024My In-laws live overseas and they are of old age. Bought two and, after setting it up, sent it to them. Just at the push of button, we can do a video call with amazing sound and video quality. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayBought this large portal for my dad and the smaller size for us and each one of our adult children. We absolutely love them! It is almost like being in the same room and we can all be on the call if we choose. It is very easy to set up and use. You can easily add additional people to the call.

> 3 daySo we bought the smaller portable one for my MIL. And got this one for us since we have 4 bouncing kids. It has been a life saver being able to keep in touch. Being almost 7K miles away during this pandemic has made things difficult. But FB portal is easy enough that those less inclined about TECH van easil use it. No more forehead and chin shots anymore

> 3 dayFirst off, it deserves more stars if ALL you need is to call (whatsApp) another person. Kids or parents. If you are looking for a device for your home office - stay away. Pros: - looks great. Good quality screen (rotates) and a camera - connects to Bluetooth devices (e.g. keyboard, mouse, etc.) - easy to use Cons: - no 3rd party voice or video calls supported. No jabber, no Alexa calls, no skype, no sip, no google. Nothing. - device recognized by a phone as a bluetooth speaker. You cant use it as a speakerphone with you cell. - you cant call a regular phone number (even with a fee). - it doesnt support Webex meetings. Helpdesk says that theyre working on it, but no ETA. Webex (via website) does not recognize microphone / speaker, or camera. No MS Teams support, no google meet. - do you want to use it as a photo frame? Only with your facebook photos. - very few applications. 10? Useful? 2-3 max. - no email client, no calendar. Yes, you can open outlook 365 or gmail in a web browser but this is not the case. - Alexa on this device is handicapped. Most of commonly used functions not supported. - Although it is an android device, you cannot install apps from the play store. Actually you can - but you cant access them after the installation. This is the first time I decided to return an electronic device. I am done with it 3 hours after unboxing. Ugh.

> 3 dayBeing a technophile I think this is better quality than anything Amazon has put out. I purchased 2 portal pluss and while I wish I could call people also on Echo or Skype, the hardware is far better than Echo show (which I also own). Im not a huge fan of Facebook but the tech is sound and of great quality ( once again comparing to echo show) this is so far a better product than anything currently available and I hope that Google and Amazon take notice. The ability to transfer my call immediately to my phone is on awesome when I leave the room. Its quick and instantaneous and I dont have to think about it. If you dislike Facebook, I can empathize but great tech is great tech and this piece of hardware is fantastic albeit in this day and age I also dont like being locked in to a single communication system but I dont necessarily think thats Facebook fault. I want my hardware independent from any corp and let it speak on its own merit. We dont live in the 20th century after all.

> 3 daySometimes the voice recognition algorithm thinks it should turn on the device and a picture appears. It shuts off nicely when asked to however. The system works great with our family in Washington DC. They have one too, and we love the fact that the camera behaves well in all types of light and can follow and zoom to keep us in frame. Great product!

> 3 dayAside from the amazing video and audio quality, I love the zoom in/out feature which follows my children’s movement around the room. An amazing investment!!
