This one is for the market of China. The original waranty is three years from Dell. But this one no waranty at all from Dell!

Does exactly what its supposed to do. Port replication and high-speed charging on compatible laptops. Dell Docking station - and I assume other vendors solutions - are just an elaborate adapter to break out your laptops ports to provide more flexible connectivity options for network, video, sound, USB peripherals, etc. Anyone purchasing this because they think it is an external video card that will have or add on to the capability of their existing computer video card or other hardware is seriously misinformed and this is not the fault of Dell or anyone else. Also, if your device does not have thunderbolt 4 and you have a lackluster experience with this device, keep in mind running it in USB-C mode will only yield the capability based on the bandwidth of USB-C and not Thunderbolt. Long story short - you need to understand what you are buying before you buy and give a negative review.

This review is for the seller, not the product. The unit I bought does not recognize any USB devices tried plugging in. I tried with two different wireless mouse/keyboards and my phone. After updating all the drivers, and rebooting everything, my computer doesnt recognize the device as a Dell product. I did all of the troubleshooting steps, and called Dell tech support. According to Dell, this product was supposed to be sold in China and the warranty is registered in China. So I have to transfer the warranty to the US, return the product, and then get sent a new one from Dell. This process will take a month! Why would the seller send me a product that is supposed to be sold in a different country?

Brand new, absolute top of the line Dell gaming laptop with Thunderbolt 4 port. Bought the only thunderbolt 4 dock made by Dell. Unfortunately, I cant start the computer with the dock plugged in. My start up process: 1- power on /2- open laptop since it wont go to monitors until I clear error message /3- clear error message in bios that says dock is trying to provide power to non-power port /4- shut laptop and wait for it to go to sleep. 5/ wake it up again so it boots to external monitors. Same results with or without manufacturer power cord. It will sound like an exaggeration, but I genuinely spent 3.5 GRUELING HOURS ON THE PHONE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was passed around to exactly 13 CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS. Dell hung up on me multiple times and sometimes just put me on hold until I gave up. The determined that my docking station was not compatible though several agents suggested that it should work fine. They offered to send me the exact same, non-compatible unit as a replacement. The main part of my experience involved an agent from one of three departments (Customer Care, Tech Support or Sales) telling me they could see that my dock was incompatible and that if I talked so someone from another department (one of the 2 others) that they would be able to create the proper notes/documentation/case number that would allow me to return my dock. Eventually, a sweet technician named Kristina offered to stay with me during my handoff to another department so she could help get it resolved. She was no more successful than I was. She asked if we could escalate to a manager and they tech support guy said he could file a claim to escalate the refund process and that someone would call me (not email, I clarified) to help me get this taken care of. Instead, I got a ONE SENTENCE EMAIL a couple days later telling me that I could purchase a dock on their website. He included a link to the docking station section of their website, not to a specific dock that would work. Now I have PTSD and still no compatible docking station. Dell is terrible. Im convinced they know how bad they are since I am not able to leave a review for either product on their website.

I’m able to connect to 2 displays, external disk drive, headset (requires 2 ISB ports), mouse, keyboard, iphone and Ethernet through 1 connection!

Product provided approximately 3 hours of extended display operation. Upon restarting my laptop, the extended monitor would not work again. Dell support was very helpful in ordering a replacement.

these worked great but when speaking to dell they are registered in china and not the USA. not sure how to get this changed if the seller cannot do it.

This version of the WD22TB4 docking station is not the same version thats sold on Dells website. This version only supports dual monitors at 30Hz refresh rate.
