Dell Optiplex 7040 Business SFF Computer Small Tower PC (Intel Core i5-6500, 16GB Ram, 256GB SSD, DVD-RW, WiFi) Win 10 Pro (Renewed)

PC really is like new, and it was packaged very well for shipment. I had a problem with a missing screw to secure an M.2 NVME SSD, and I was reimbursed for the cost to buy it from Amazon. When products this good are available to buy, and they are supported very well, I see no reason for a typical household / home theater type purchase to buy new instead.

It what I expected for the price.

One of the slots for RAM appears to be damaged. I have 4 sticks and can only use 3. Yes, I removed and inserted individually to find the problem slot. Looks like the only way to fix it is to replace the whole motherboard. Wont be buy refurbished again.

It implies this comes with a keyboard and a mouse. It does not. Only the tower, power cord, and USB wireless card is included. The graphics card is the Intel HD Graphics 530 instead of the clearly stated AMD Radeon R7 350x. All of the other specs seem to be accurate.

Im using this as a NAS for cameras, video AI, and home automation. I added a second hard drive for the NAS functionality and a graphics card for the AI, and the machine has been a rock solid performer for my needs. If you need a small server with a small footprint or simple budget desktop, this is a good value. Mine came with a keyboard, mouse and power cable. Since Im using it as a server I didnt use the keyboard or mouse so I have no comment on their quality.

This was a great purchase. Needed a new desktop for an employee. Shipped faster than the original notification stated. Came with a keyboard!

i bought many computers and this seems to be worst experience. SSD died and lost all my data. Seller sent new ssd but all office work had wasted and expensive softwares. now it doesnt boot and upon investigating Memoryslot is bad. i have so much office work setup. i wont recommend anyone who have personal files and softwares installed. Computer is good but now can’t do much with 8 gb when I need 14gb on daily use.

Works as it should. I haven’t had any problems out of it.
