> 24 hourOK, so this SSD isnt quite as fast as the current Samsung 970s or the Western Digital Black series. The price is much better though, and the performance is good enough that most users wouldnt notice the difference anyway.

> 24 hourVery happy, I have upgraded my del xps-15 notebook storage from 512g to 1tb in no-time and thanks to the enclosure now I also have a 512g external drive....great!

> 24 hourThis is an overall good value. Not quite market leading performance for nvme drive but neither is it market leading price. Perfect in between in all ways. That being said, do NOT put these in a laptop. It WILL overheat and throttle to near HDD performance or, in my case, just stop entirely. Unfortunately had to switch them to the desktop in which they worked just fine.

> 24 hourI remember how impressed I was when I booted from my first SSD, the computer booted up in around 20 seconds which was very impressive and a massive step up from the minute or so it took to boot from a HDD. I never thought we would get a performance increase in storage so soon after the advent of cheap SSDs but here it is. The drive is installed in an onboard M.2 slot on my Gigabyte Aorus Z370 K3 motherboard and booting from this NVMe drive takes around 6 seconds. Mileage will probably vary using an M.2 expansion card or external M.2 caddy but if you have a dedicated M.2 slot on your motherboard then Im really not sure what youre waiting for. Take the plunge, you wont regret it.

> 24 hourSo the Crucial P1 1TB is eventually going to end up in my 2014 Mac mini (using an adapter), but for now its found a VERY useful home attached to my Playstation 4 Pro via an NVMe -> USB 3.0 adapter/case.
